Waking up had been...disorienting. Everything felt off, her body feeling colder than usual. Her stomach rumbled, gut twisting uncomfortably. It wasn’t a feeling she was used to and for a moment, she thought she was going to puke.
Stumbling from the bedroom, Ava paused when she saw Alexi, a horrible thought crossing her mind. “I swear to fucking Khaos, Alexi, did you do something to me magically? Because I might actually fucking kill you.”

1. After they get married, a divorce gets threatened more than once even though neither of them will actually go through with it because even when they’re a disaster, they love each other.
2. They go through spurts of being a normal, functional couple. They can last anywhere from six months to two years give or take, but it lasted ten years once. It was as scary as it as cute.
3. Jasey is, well, Jasey and sometimes when things get a little too cute (like in number 2), she picks fights just to spice things up. She’s sure Alexi has caught on by now, but she thinks he likes fighting too much to actually call her on it and make it stop.
