And I am finally back with another apartment renovation. Heads up, I didn’t put it up on the gallery due to some weird glitch with the rooms where it sees the living room as 2 seperate rooms for some reaosn and it cuts through the middle, so you’ll have to get the apartment in savefile only for now.

Anyway as for the renovation. The lady who lives here is named Barbara and she is an older classy lady with a bit of a drinking problem. She is very close with her daughter, but she moved out for college, which is why one of the bedrooms is a bit empty, it has all the basic furniture, but no clutter ebcause noone occupies the space. Her daughter will be in the save file as well so if you play as them you could have her visit her mom’s place and stay overnight. But long story short I’m finding myself really struggling at this point since I’m running out of ideas for furnishing rich sims’ apartments and I still have 3 more to do. After that I also have 7 public lots to renovate.

So this apartment was for a sim Diego Lobo who is an in art critic career. Based on the vibe of the original apartment I got the impression of like a fancy bachellor lifestyle which I tried to reflect in my build a bit by keeping some of the objects like the giant game mat and the TV. Other than that there aren’t that many similarities since the original apartment wasnt very colourful which I felt didn’t fit the sim that lived there since he dressed very colourfully and he was in art critic career so I made sure to make his apartment more colourful and filled with nice artwork.

IX Laandgraab - Uptown

This is my first renovating for the Uptown area of San Myshuno. I really like the Feng family and I liked the vibe of their original apartment, but not necessarily the execution of it, so similarly to when I worked on the Jang family’s apartment I was trying to keep a lot of the same objects and overall the same easthetic, but make it better. I found the shape of the apartment to be a bit tricky to work with, especially the diagonl entry way, but I managed to make it work. I’m rather pleased with the artsy fountain display area, I think it looks very stylish and modern and exactly like something that the Fengs would have in their apartment.

So this is a family apartment, which is always a nice thing to do. The idea I had for this is that there’s like a YT family who lives there and they do vlogging of like their family life and maybe do parenting advice videos. They have 2 kids, so one bedroom is for the guests or if you play with them you can make them have another kid. But essetially I thoguht that maybe the dad is/was in a music career and the mum works part time as babysitter, since I imagine them being good parents who also monetize their family life on the internet.

And I am back with another apartment for art district. This one was quite a challenge because I was trying to go for a very specific easthetic. In my mind this apartment is for a diva/celebrity who’s like a very successful singer and a classy lady. I was aiming to try and do a bit of a mix of classy and modern with this apartment and for the most part I’m happy with how it turned out. I even made the sim for this apartment because I wanted some photos of her up on the walls, which I don’t normally do. I also find it funny how you can have a small rundown apartment (910) on the same floor as this one, but hey that’s sims for you. I found this place to be very hard to do layout for. I went through like 3different floorplans before I settled on this one.

930 Medina Studios - Art District

First of all I would like to say that this apartment was a nightmare to renovate. It kind of frustrates me how big most of the apartments in the sims are and this one was originally 3 bedrooms 1 bath and as you can see I was able to squeeze in another 2 rooms and they’re all rather spacious.

Second of all this apartment is a bit different from other ones because I didn’t renovate it with a particular family in mind. I essnetially build a ‘showroom’ styled apartment so everything is in monochrome and the decor is very limited since there aren’t any sims around to use for reflecting their personality via clutter. I only used the kind of decorations you’d find in like nterior design catalogues, tasteful and somewhat minimal as I usually prefer to put quite a lot of clutter around my builds.

And back with yet another witch cottage. This time it was build with a family in mind, more specifically an elderly couple and their daughter who come from an old bloodline on spellcasters and like in a bit of isolation. My idea was that the daughter does not want to follow her parents' footsteps and live like a hermit, but the furthest she's allwoed to go is the alkaine alkemist bar round the corner. during one her visits there she befriends the mysterious woman who moved into a long abandoned cottage (the conn artist who's house i built earlier), and their relationship allows he rto dream about places other than glimmerbrook.

I'll be honest, the original bar in the game was so bad it kinda offended me. Given the the neighbourhood is supposidelly build in a forest/mountain area I wanted it to look more like a wood cabin from the outside to make it fit the vibe of the whole area. as for the inside i kept it rahter simple seeing as its a small build anyway, but i threw in some accent items to make it clear that this bar is for spellcasters only.
