Sasuke’s relationships with the various members of a family filled with somber turmoil and dark times seem to be ironically within good terms.
Ryu, the only male of this family, is an Uchiha that heavily reminds Sasuke of Madara in both attitude and power. He at one point praised Sasuke for his Fire style prowess, something neither of his two children had ever received. Though he is stern and stoic, Ryu does care for his family and his fellow clan members. Uchiha do value love above everything else after all.
Ryu is a fairly intimidating man, even amongst the Uchiha, however Sasuke shows absolutely no fear when interacting with him. The only other people who are unaffected by such notions are Madara and his younger brother, Izuna.
Xiu, the former matriarch of the Sen-Fong clan, current YangKage of Tatakaisu, a childhood friend of Sasuke’s own mother, Mikoto, and a person Sasuke holds in high regard. The serene calm that follows the ethereal woman’s presence is enough to sooth even the most savage of heart, an ability that has helped Sasuke many a time over. Before their revival, she also provided the young raven with links to his fallen family.
It’s thanks to Xiu that Sasuke has started to enjoy the scent of lavender and often uses it to help him sleep.
Feng, the eldest of Ryu and Xiu’s children and the only one to inherit a talent for Fire style while her looks bordered more on her mother’s side. Sasuke despises the girl’s attitude and her heavy abuse of alcohol and drugs, however her power is nothing to underestimate and she makes a worthy ally. She and her younger sister do not get along in the slightest, and often end up including Sasuke in their fights whether it’s verbally or physically.
Sasuke believes that underneath the entirety of her rough outside, there lies a great deal of good within the ash haired girl, though due to her harsh upbringing and the responsibility of being the eldest child, it didn’t have nary a chance to flourish.
Sakune, the youngest child of Ryu and Xiu, Feng’s younger sister, and the new matriarch of the Sen-Fong clan. She was the one to take to the Uchiha blood Ryu brought to the table, though did not inherit the Uchiha’s talent for fire style, instead gaining the Sen-Fong’s abilities pertaining to Flora manipulation. Through thick and thin, she has proved to be loyal to Sasuke, helping him in any way she can in an effort to keep the promise she made to the raven’s elder brother, Itachi. Through their perilous, yet insightful journey together, Sakune has introduced to Sasuke, a much wider world filled with bizarre yet entertaining wonders coupled alongside mysterious, yet ominous threats.
Though his pride and stubborness as an Uchiha will never let him admit it, Sasuke is more than grateful for everything Sakune has done for him. From helping him raise some powerful companions, to helping him escape after he killed Naruto, and even saving him from a fate worse than death within the 9th’s clutches. But of course, the thing he is most grateful for, is the fact she gave him the one thing he thought he would never be able to get back, his family.
