🦋 bugs 🐛 🐛 🐛 I had much more fun with this prompt than yesterday’s (but I did learn how to go by making metallic wood). At first I planning to do one big butterfly in white only but then I reprimanded myself for having various gel pen at my disposal and forget how colorful butterflies are. I'm pretty happy with this piece because I wanted to have a more fluid look in my gouache paintings these days, like I want to show how expressive my strokes are and I think I was able to do it here 😍 . I find that during this whole phase that I'm into gouache, I developed many styles along the way. I started with a very abstract like florals where the brush strokes are very evident, not so much on the blending side. I also showed you the opposite of that where I did some blendings & they look like oil or acrylic paintings. Now this is another style where I really tried to make every strokes very fluid & expressive. . So what I'm trying to say is that you can paint however style you want, whatever look you want it to be, paint the same subjects over & over but you will get different looks each time. What's important is that along the way, you are gaining a lot of knowledge in your process & each time you are doing this you are getting more confident. Have fun & just enjoy, don't think too much about the final output, just be flexible & don't be afraid to explore 😍 .
