Imagine, in that GrimmIchi + adopted little naga!Shiro AU, at some point during Shiro's teenage-hood, the duo had heard about a couple of folks gone missing in woods during hunting season but thought nothing of it -assuming some wild predator mauled them which is not unusual- until one day Grimm or Ichi noticed some human bones in Shiro's excrement, like "Uh...Ichigo..." "What? What's wrong, Grimm?" "I think I know what happened to those hunters... check this out..."

ALKSJDFLKSJDf sldkfj They notice that their son seems extra full and happy and just assume he managed to get ahold of a deer or some other large prey item, as large snakes do when they get the chance, and they just don’t make the connection to the missing hunters until what’s left of said hunters has passed. 

lksdjf Imagine all the problems that would come with, though O_o After enough people go missing, other hunters are out there looking for the culprit and find HUGE slithering, winding tracks in the leaf liter and mud. Whispers of a “Man-Eater” out in the jungles, too close to the village borders for anyone’s comfort, start to circulate through the villagers. Grimmjow and Ichigo are nervous, but only partly because the villagers might come for their adopted son. The question they’re afraid to ask themselves or voice out loud; what if they’re right? What if their son really has grown a taste for human prey? Historically speaking, there’s always a reason a large predator starts hunting humans instead of its normal prey. Usually some sort of sickness or horrible injury is keeping it from being capable of catching what it would normally eat. Is their son sick or hurt? Would they even know?? Snakes don’t show pain like people do. What’s the precedence for a naga? They have no one to turn to and they could ask Shiro directly, but would he answer them straight? What if he distanced himself from them instead?
