#readmore #investinyourself @Regrann from @blackpagesbooks - ANOTHER ASPECT OF "BLACK" NOT AUTOMATICALLY MAKING THINGS RIGHT is found in the way many of us look at black scholarship as infallible . In the recent decade or so there has arisen a new "black mythology." It references groundbreaking scholarly work done in the 70's and 80's by such men as Ivan van Sertima, Chancellor Williams, Cheikh Anta Diop, Charles Finch, and so on, yet without embracing their methodology. So instead of embracing the method that produce their teachers, they wallow in a sea of restating what these Pioneers have written ad nauseam (even when some of those findings have to be updated revised thanks to more recent data). In that vacuum, pseudo Scholars have a emerged with shiny Trinket in the form of gold claims and connections, but no methodology or data to support these claims. This new era of anti-scientific thinking, which goes against the foundations of the black scholarship that gave birth to it, has given rise to yet Another Bad Creation: social network scholarship, where the primary sources utilized are Wikipedia, YouTube, and personal websites and blogs. As noted above, when utilizing any Source, one needs to be able to weigh the validity of that Source. The dumbing-down of American education has made it easier for anything to pass as factual these days. people aren't learning, and aren't interested in learning, but are collecting assortments of information that may or may not be true and thus aklowing random beliefs to take center stage in their lives. #knowthyself #blackman #knowledgeofself #knowledgeispower #thirdeye #Afrikan #blackbooks #blacklibrary #melanin #blackpower #blackpagesbooks #toronto #blacktoronto #blackbusiness #originalman #blackwoman #khemetic #hiphop #trapmusic #rap #godsandearths #noi #brampton #afrocentric #consciousness #staywoke https://www.gofundme.com/29958eg4 If you appreciate the post....repost as well; let's make Black Pages more than a book club... #Regrann
