How did you get those mandalorian decals?
With great difficulty!
Basically, you find or make the image that you want as a transfer, re-size it appropriately, print it on the correct sort of special paper (which may require you to use a spray fixative as well) and then apply copious amounts of decal softener and hope for the best.
I would direct you to Ron Saikowski’s tutorial on the subject, which was my starting point. I’d also note that I ended up using inkjet decal paper and a spray fixative, because that was the printer I had at home - I wish now I’d used laser decal paper and smuggled my hobby into work, because I think the spray fixative added a lot of stiffness to the transfers that made them difficult to work with afterwards. I used the ever-popular GIMP to prepare my initial image and then the lesser-known Inkscape to re-size it to a good pauldron size - it’s my understanding that you will need some kind of vector graphics program like Inkscape that’s capable of re-sizing an image without causing loads of jaggy pixels to appear.
I would also note that you can totally just buy 3d-printed mythosaur pads nowadays and save yourself a lot of hassle!
