"I've missed you."
blackwidowromanov:
Natasha’s angry face was ridden a crimson shade reaching to the tops of her ears. She didn’t much enjoy arguing, though that did not stop her from retaliating with the same heated passion someone must have started with. And Steve was easy. Neither his intimidating stance nor his aggravation mattered. It was more of, his invalid points and weak reasoning. She and Steve had been arguing for quite some time now, though they had moved closer and closer as the argument progressed to be more developed and heated. “Oh come on, just because you managed to lift the hammer a little and I didn’t even give it a try doesn’t mean that you’re more righteous than me! I might not have fought a war but I have done a few things right in my life! Do you not think that I am worthy at all? Wow, Rogers. I’m really of—-“. Her words were struck silent by Steve kissing her? Now she was lost for words and thoughts. Why was he even tempted to kiss her now, in the prime of her rage—- their rage? It didn’t add up. Surely the last thing on his mind was kissing. It took a few moments for her to recall her senses and finally push Steve away, far enough to catch her breath if he were to come back. “What the hell was that for? I thought you’d rather fight me than make out. What’s your angle? Trying to shut me up because you know I’m right?”
Steve wasn't sure what they were arguing about anymore. It seemed like it kept turning worse and worse, no stopping point and no real end in sight. Honestly, Steve just wanted the shouting to stop, quite frankly it was getting out of control. Natasha was one of the few people that he liked and trusted in this century. He couldn't loose her friendship over a silly argument. He didn't know why he kissed her exactly. A combination of desire and wanting her to be quiet. Steve didn't want to fight with her anymore, just wanted them to be okay. She was probably going to get even angrier at him, but Steve thought it was worth the risk. He blinked at her once she had pushed him away. "Because I wanted to kiss you! I'm tired of fighting with you, you're putting words in my mouth. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying, listen to me."

Natasha did love Bobbi, just as much as Bobi loved her. But it wasn’t right. It could not be right. She was wrong, for Bobbi, for everyone — like a poison. So when the mockingbird became and was being ever so more persistent scared Natasha to her very bones. Like she could not trust herself to not mess things up. Though in her mind, it was an inevitability. Because she did with everyone she was every close to. It is like a curse. With all the love she could muster for her, she would rightfully stand to stop Bobbi. If that would mean that she would not be hurt by anything the widow says or does. Because Natasha for the life of herself would never want to upset, scare, or annoy her. This is how much she truly does love Barbara. If she has to give up everything, like not ever being able to talk to her, or being able to watch her in her natural beautiful ways she goes about everyday. Natasha now could no longer stand to look her in her eyes. Their connection only lasted for a moment before she had to look away. “…I’m bad for you, Bob. I will only end up hurting you.” The widow was just too much of a fool to realise all this before she fell in love with the most perfect woman in the world.
Her heart hammered in her chest, anxiety starting to swirl up inside of her. It was scary, and it seemed as if it was inevitable. She had a feeling that it didn't matter what she would or could say to Natasha, it wouldn't make any difference. It hurt and scared her because she really did love Natasha, and she loved being around and with the widow. If Natasha didn't feel the same way or didn't want to be with Bobbi, she didn't have much that she could use. Dread filled her body the longer as time went on, the fact that Natasha couldn't even look at her. She probably shouldn't have grown attached, should have tried to keep it casual. She swallowed, feeling her throat tightened as she did so. She licked her lips as she tried to figure out the words to form. "That's normal though. Everybody hurts each other in the long run. It's inevitable. It wouldn't hurt to try, you know see if it could work." Her voice low, trailing off, as she ran a hand through her hair, staring down at the floor.
“You can’t fall in love with me.”
Send "You can't fall in love with me." for my muse's reaction.
The words stung through Bobbi, deep like the knife of rejection. Though maybe she was setting herself up for failure. She always did, Lance, Clint, she was just a string of bad decisions after bad decisions. Then things started with Natasha, one of her oldest friends from SHIELD. It was probably a bad idea from the beginning, but she couldn't help herself. She was intoxicated by Natasha, from her smile to her personality. She made Bobbi happy and Bobbi couldn't get enough of Natasha even if she tried. She rolled her bottom lip into her mouth, chewing on it as she tried to figure out what words she should say. Her gaze drifted slightly before she returned them back to meet Natasha's green eyes. "Too late because I've already fallen for you." She finally said, a bit more quietly than intended.
“Oh look! It’s a mistletoe!”

They were both dressed up, considering it was The Avengers annual Christmas party. Nothing big, just family and friends. Bobbi had slipped on a green dress for the occassion, somehow matching with Natasha's red. They were certainly looking festive tonight. Bobbi had done her socializing for the most part, saying hello to everyone and not wanting to seem like a lost puppy by following Natasha around. She wasn't sure how comfortable the others would be seeing Bobbi and Natasha being affectionate towards one another. Bobbi was headed to get some more wine when she ran into Natasha. She looked up at her words. Of course their would be mistletoe above the drink and snack table, not that Bobbi minded. She smiled and pulled Natasha closer, pressing their lips together and humming happily. "Merry Christmas, Nat."

Send me “Even dirtier!”
“I’ll try everything at least once, maybe twice.”
"Is that a challenge Romanoff?"

It wasn’t that she was mad. Though she was scared to lose Sam. She accepted him in an enclosed embrace. Because he was more important to her than most would guess. “Let’s hope that doesn’t happen any time soon. I’ll kill you if you die on me, Wilson.” An unwarranted smile sat on her expression. Reassuringly to stay hopeful. Either of them could disappear within a day —- but she knew Sam wouldn’t leave.
"Duly noted." He held her close for a moment longer and nodded onto her shoulder before pulling back from the embrace, a playful smile tugging on his own lips at the sight of hers. "You know I'm not gonna just keel over without a fight--that's not my style. An' your style is scarier, I'd be a fool to not take that warning to heart." Sam lived for more than just himself in mind and he wouldn't give in and leave everyone behind--especially not Natasha who was one of the few he'd grown close with.
