what about lyonel meeting blackwind? i definitely see him trying to bribe blackwind like he was a hunting dog cornered and blackwind immediately offended. i love your characterization of blackwind

As for Lyonel, I genuinely think it would be comedic because that's two divas meeting 😭 Lyonel is so used to being the biggest, loudest, most physically magnetic thing in any room. He's a Baratheon. Dogs love him. Horses love him. People either adore him or get out of his way.
So when he first encounters Blackwind, of course his immediate instinct is to treat the direwolf like a very large, very impressive hunting hound. Big mistake. Massive mistake.
It probably happens in Winterfell's yard when Lyonel is visiting Stark stronghold. Blackwind is lying in a patch of hazy northern sunlight, deceptively lazy, and Lyonel sees him and his whole face lights up. "Gods, what a beast!" Already striding over, crouching down, holding out dried meat, making those little clicking noises men do with dogs.
"Here, boy. Look at you. I bet you're a good hunter—"
Blackwind's eyes open. Fully, dark and cold and utterly unimpressed. Gives Lyonel a look that clearly says, "Excuse me?" Then he yawns. Slowly, showing every single dagger-sized tooth. Closes his mouth with a click and a huff, puts his head back down, closes his eyes. Complete and utter dismissal.
Lyonel is baffled. "Did he just—ignore me?"
You smother a laugh. "Yes."
"But I was being friendly!"
"Blackwind doesn't care."
