Reposted from @blackwithnochaser Well, well, well, look at what we have here. Old Republican Gov. Tate Reeves of Mississippi for the 3rd year in a row has decided that “critical erase theory” (not a true term but should be) is being celebrated in April, this month, as Confederate Heritage Month. Let’s see what confederate heritage has brought Mississippi. Under Republican leadership, Mississippi, according to US News, is ranked 49th in the nation. Health care (50), Economy (49), and Infrastructure (48) are the three lowest rankings and quite telling about the lack of leadership, innovation and equity the state has failed to give its 2.9 million residents. Education, notably, is 43rd in the nation. These stats are also the byproduct of US Senators like Cindy Hyde-Smith and Roger Wicker and let’s not forget gerrymandering, which is the process of electeds picking their voters instead of voters selecting their electeds. All in all, Mississippi deserves better leadership across the board because all Republicans have ever done is peddle lies and garbage. While 2022 is a relatively quiet year for electoral races, there are a few to keep at the top of mind: US Reps, Levee Commissioner, Circuit Court Judge, Chancery Judge, and County Court Judge. 2023? That’s damn near the entire state will be up for grabs. Come on Mississippi let’s organize, educate and mobilize! ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼 Credit: @ashtonpittman (Twitter) and @msfreepress (article) #blackwithnochaser #bwncpolitics #politics #mississippi #localpolitics #politicsislocal #issues #policy #crt #confederate #racism #leadership #election #elections #proclamation #vote #votethemout https://www.instagram.com/p/CcVBt2PuwTPafW0WJGLQAU3uir0NtJ3yVUu_r40/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
