Time sure was a strange thing. Just yesterday she could have sworn it was the very day Fang's house had gone up in flames, and the pulsian moved into her own home as the other was slowly repaired. This day ended the third week of the woman being around, and living so closely with the other had definitely had it's ups and down. Ultimately, despite a few incidents here and there, Lightning had grown accustomed to having her close friend around, as well as the constant on and off flirting she was subjected to -- not that she truly minded much anymore. She even found herself indulging in a bit of flirting herself, if only to get the huntress riled up for a few good laughs.
However, today was going to be one of those days. Specifically a day, even when she was younger, Lightning had grown to hate. The morning had been spent filing some needed paperwork, but by the time she had left Headquarters the amount of lovey dovey couples seen had struck a serious nerve.
Inaudible grumbling was heard under her breath, as the front door was open and promptly shut loudly behind her. Slipping off her boots, the roseate wasted no time in flopping backwards onto the couch with a heavy sigh. The solitude she found was calming at least, and she merely propped an elbow on-top of the sofa's arm, and dropped her head into her awaiting hand as azure orbs closed for a moment to enjoy the quiet while it lasted.
