i would love a highschool au where blade is a notorious troublemaker fuckboy who is very smart but since hes too focused on having fun, his grades started going down.

so now we enter rei, who is a teacher's pet and rank 1 in the whole school academically. he was assigned by a teacher to tutor blade in hopes that he could help him get better, rei agreed without a complain. obv to please the teachers.

tutoring with blade in his room ensues and sweet lil guy starts getting bored and then he teasingly went "maybe ill focus more if u remove ur top~" completely expecting that this nerd and teachers pet will just slap him and scream at most.

he didnt expect rei to stare at him with one eyebrow raise, starts unbuttoning his school shirt and— god of klein, is that a Bra under his male school uniform?

rei then smirked at him and tapped on the table menacingly, "what did you just say? you better start focusing now."

Darling told me it’s your special day, so I wanted to wish you a happy, happy birthday!

I’m so happy you’re here! I love our chats in the garden, and your cute little focused face when you take me apart! Maybe next time I visit, we can do some of those essence experiments you’ve told me about? It sounds like so much fun!

Also, Little Yakumo is making a big dinner tonight so you should come over! I can make a yummy birthday dessert decorated just for you~

Thanks for your letter. I was expecting the Grand Sorcerer to throw some birthday celebration. I don’t think its necessary, but if Yakumo is putting in the effort too, maybe its worth something.

I was surprised by your letter when Father brought it to me, but I’ve liked spending time with you too. It’s not as easy to sneak around the mansion with an e-droid following me. But I don’t mind. I look forward to my breaks in the garden with you, after exhausting the resources in the library.

Your involvement in my experiments and the data collected has been extremely valuable in my studies of essence. I always appreciate your patience, being as some of the experiments have ended up being more involved than initially anticipated, and your anatomy has continually been a useful tool. Your company during long and sleepless nights concluding research has been welcome too. I am thankful Eiden somehow managed to bring us all together again.

You’re fascinating. You always have been.

So, thanks again for this. If anyone was going to wish me a happy birthday, out of all the clan members and the familiars, I’m glad it was you.

Now that Puzzling invitation is rerunning lets look back at some good bladerei crumbs

Very very quick sketch then. AU where mercenary Rei finds an edroid stashed among a lot of other stolen and valuable cargo, reports to no one, takes him home (gets followed home).

Let's bring this back. I thought it was a cute interaction back then but then a friend told me the way they saw it was Rei being worried about Blade and getting a bit tsun about it (telling him to stick to him but backing out the moment Blade tells someone else about it) and now that's what I believe (whatever works in my favor).

Days when Blade stays over at Rei's place to help with research or experiments he goes full caretaker mode, memorizes where Rei leaves every thing, while hoping around the cabin avoiding things on the floor and reminds Rei to eat (to Father's chagrin because he does that already). He's all over the place in his usual hyperactive way but quiets down to listen if Rei plays an instrument.
