Ever since he could remember, Sam was lectured about every part of his life. He listened, trying to learn from his mother and father on how to stay alive and survive in this world of non magical beings. At first he didn’t understand, it was second nature to love the water, and be around his family. Playing tricks on his Grandfather who always spoke of the Selkie as powerful creatures, and giving as much information as possible to Sam. But being so young, it was a challenge for Sam. He wanted to try dating people, but there was so many rules, and instead of trying to be with anyone he focused his attention on his family. No matter how much he wanted to leave home and find romance and have his own life. His family owned a ranch in Texas, and Sam was mostly outside with the horses, helping his father and grandfather in the field, or just simply making tree houses in the backyard. If he could find something fun to do, Sam would be doing it. Even if it was a bad idea and sometimes it would turn into a yelling match between him and his dad. It wasn’t like he meant to upset anyone, Sam wasn’t the smartest in the world, but he still had some common sense on his shoulders.
Once he was old enough and ready to venture away from his home life, he was still being told not to go. There was many arguments between Sam, his mom, dad, grandfather, and even his crazy grandmother who seemed like she drank too much sea water. Sam had already made up his mind, and promised his family that he would at least stay away from the Coast, or any places that had large bodies of water. It didn’t take too long before Sam was feeling comfortable in his own skin again. Having a place of his very own was strange and being around so many different people was a great experience for him. He was starting to understand why people did what they did, but in a better way. Sam was figuring out who he was as a person and what he enjoyed doing. Working out was one of his many favorite things to do, and at least once a day he would be seen working out for a few hours a day. Sam preferred to have a healthy workout routine and on a daily basis. Once he found the right swimming pools that were rather larger then normal, Sam went out swimming at least twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. It was how he liked starting out his day and ending his night. There was nothing else he enjoyed more then being able to be free with himself. It was a secret he was keeping from his parents, Sam couldn’t resist himself from going swimming, and at least he was being conscious enough not to get carried away.
The moment he met Blaine Anderson at a tacky club, where they worked out, but the dude was nice enough and the two of them became friends, it was nice to have a friend that Sam could go and talk to. When he was offered a job for Blaine. He was shocked at the job offer, but he couldn’t pass it up, because his money was running low ever since Sam started collecting more comic books, and DVDs, CDs, etc. He couldn’t stop buying things that made him happy when the water wasn’t around him. Working at the Cabal has always been strange for Sam, he was never used to the formal looking job, he finds he isn’t too bad at the Marketing, and has seen his numbers rising from the second he started. The only people he actually knows so far is Blaine and Tina, other then that, he has kept to himself a lot more and is hoping to make more friends with some of the other associates. Sam doesn’t know who is leaking out the truth about the supernaturals. Or why they are doing such a thing. He has always been one to keep it to himself, that is what his family drilled into him.
