Birth of a Nation

Nate Parker wrote, directed and starred in one of the most highly buzzed about films of Sundance – “Birth of a Nation”. The film had its world premiere to a packed house and left the crowd in a standing ovation. 

The film highlights Nat Turner, an African-American slave who led a slave rebellion in 1831 Virginia resulting in 60 white deaths. Starring as Turner, Parker delivered an utterly moving performance bringing humanity and sympathy to the portrayal. Although highlighting the slavery ecosystem of 1800’s America, “In 2016, that echoes,” said Parker during the cast Q&A following the screening of the film.

The Treatment Previews Sundance 2016

The Treatment will be on the scene at Sundance 2016!

Setting up fantastic interviews is in the works and there is certainly no shortage of great material. From music, to heartfelt docs, to mind blowing Virtual Reality (VR), the schedule alone is overwhelming!

Here’s a little bit of what we’re most looking forward to: Michael C. Hall’s performance in the indie drama “Christine”, writer/director Nate Parker’s presentation of “Birth of a Nation”, Kevin Smith’s horror comedy “Yoga Hosers” & horror master Rob Zombie’s clown packed “31”.

Look out for features with Rob Zombie and Kevin Smith as they join Elvis Mitchell in the Acura Lounge at the Sundance Film Festival!
