setting: the club house somewhere
Admittedly, she isn’t thrilled to be here. Over the course of the last two decades the club house has become somewhat of a safe haven for her, even if it isn’t technically her club. But so many of the members may as well be her family and it has always been somewhere she’s always felt both safe and comfortable, often times bringing her children to play on the swing set out back or letting Maddie drive her fake car around bumping into people’s legs. Tonight, though, she feels a little out of place. There are too many strangers there, and while she’s trying to keep an open mind it’s a little suffocating after having spent the better part of the last two months cooped up at home. So she practically makes a beeline for Blake when she spots her across the room, anxious to be in the presence of someone that she knows she can trust and honestly, she misses Blake. Things have been so crazy lately they haven’t seen much of each other, and Rowan is more than thrilled to see her there. “You look hot,” she greets her with a smile, nudging her shoulder gently with her own. “I saw someone makin’ eyes and hittin’ on Wes not long ago, so I accidentally dumped my drink down her back. So, you know, you’re welcome.”
