Blake Brockington was a young African American trans man who committed suicide on March 23 2015. He was homecoming king at his school in North Carolina, and an advocate for the LGBTQ community, police brutality against black people and so much more. Today i say his his name #BlakeBrockington #LGBTQ #BlackLivesMatter #TransLivesMatter #SayHisName
Thinking of you. #blakebrockington #tdor #freedomfighter
RIP to the homie Blake Brockington
I really miss your smile. A year ago today I lost you Blake and my heart still hurts. I missed talking to you & I wish I could have been there for you when you needed the family the most. I loved before you transition and I loved you after. I will love you forever and always #blakebrockington #lgbtq #lgbtpride #transactivist
It's crazy how it's already been a year yet it still feels like it just happened . RIP Blake
Blake Brockington. He was 18 years old when he commited suicide just a couple days ago. He was a huge contributor to the transgender community and raised lots of money for his brothers and sisters. If you look at his tumblr, you will see videos and pictures of him having a fun time, smiling, being happy... but you will also find some posts about getting things out of his head. We need to be on our gaurd for signs of depression or suicidal thoughts. For others as well as ourselves. Now, we all remember #LeelahAlcorn right? She spread like wildfire on social media and even on the news and magazines. However, Blake, this handsome Black trans King (I say King because he was the first trans boy to win homecoming king at his school) hasn't gotten a lot of attention at all. We all know why that is, its called racism. Way too many black trans people are being murdered or killing themselves everyday and they go unnnamed, unannounced. We need to protect trans kids, protect black kids, and protect black trans kids because they are ignored too much. #blacklivesmatter #transgender #transmenofcolor #transman #blacktranslivesmatter #Translivesmatter #feminism #feminist #strenght #BlakeBrockington #KingBlake #legalizetrans #LGBTQA (meah)
