being a research oriented person, she could happily spent hours in the various archives looking into things. she'd lost track of how long they had been at this and melissa was really starting to feel it. a break was desperately needed. coffee too, coffee sounded incredible right about now.

"if i stay here i won't take a break," melissa laughed wryly as she stood up. her back was starting to hurt from being bent over her books and her computer. the chairs weren't particularly comfortable, but they never really were. she yearned for her desk at home, but it had been better to come here and really put their minds together. she twisted, stretching her back, and giving her hands a quick shake to loosen everything and wake herself up.

melissa raised an eyebrow at sage wordlessly before she passed her card to the front desk cop. being woken up at 2:30 in the morning with a call from the police station was not in line with how she'd expected her day to start. grumpy and tired as she was, she wasn't unwilling to help him out. she signed the bail paper work and took her card back. the harsh light of the station did nothing for either of them and she couldn't wait to get out of it. she gestured for him to follow her out. "you got caught breaking and entering? really?" the clear problem there being that he got caught, not that he was committing a a crime.

jacob had taken another shift for the night. he had been busting his ass for months to get good tips && keeping himself afloat during times like these when everything was becoming more && more expensive. but jacob was not thinking much about his struggles lately, but he was thinking about H I M . he had not seen the other male come to the restaurant for weeks, && jacob missed him. but for now, he had to keep his mind off him && try to work.

with nothing in their head that would convince them of other things , andy just -- sits on shaiden's lap , cupping his cheek before even pressing their lips together , allowing for them to get acquainted before they're opening their mouth , tongue sweeping at his lower lip , hips practically grinding onto his , purposely , of course . truthfully , they need a distraction , from all the arguing they were having , this was something that would get both of their minds off of it , right ? right . they weren't about to regret this , they know they weren't . hands travelling up his hair , fingers tangled in it before pulling on his strands , teeth biting at his lip , wanting more from the other . needing more , if anything .

the downside to a slayer’s pain tolerance, she’s found, is not realizing when enough is enough. she’d never had her own knife turned on her until tonight, but in the heat of the moment, she’d thought of it as nothing but a graze, but now with her hand pressed to her side and tacky with her own blood soaking through her shirt, she knows better. thank god she’d been wearing black or someone might have wanted to wrestle her into a car and take her to the hospital. no thanks, she hadn’t thought up a story for this one yet. might have had something to do with the blow to the head, but that’s low on her list of priorities right now. her hair covered most of the blood on her temple anyway.

she manages to limp her way towards the row of rooms set in the back of the parking lot, hesitating between the two doors. earlier, when she’d slipped out of the, they’d been in thumper’s room arguing over the best way to handle a ghost or something silly, but she had no idea where everyone was now. it wasn’t unusual for her to slip out for a hunt when she got too antsy, but this was the first time she almost hadn’t made it back. she imagines things will change now.

taking a chance, she slides her key card into the door on the left, colt and rowan’s room, and leans heavily on the door as a concerned set of eyes come up to meet her own. “a little help?”
