The Warrior
(a test model for my turnip28 regiment's fodder) (i'm leaning towards calling them the daring spuds of may)
I found a copy of John Blanche's inquisitor notebook recently, and in deciding a paint scheme for my turnip28 guys I'm consciously trying to emulate the sepia tones, splashes of colour, and red tones I found so inspiring.
Darkoath Marauder (Warhammer Miniature of the Month June 2024/March 2026)
Games Workshop doing mini of the month reruns is kind of funny, I actually picked this up off somebody who got the model the first time around, but Warhammer shop guy thinks I took one last month.
Anyway, there was another painting challenge thing on Mastodon. You were supposed to use the Zorn palette (these 4 colors or thereabouts) and I didn't have a lot of time or energy so I did this up relatively quickly (and I'm totally not placing in the top 3). It kind of goes faster actually when you just have 4 blobs of paint on the palette and you can dip into and mix them around in whatever way to get different colors.
I didn't post my finished Sister of Silence, I think.
Blanchitsu!
"A jail? An altar? In Fleischtraum? Both mos' like. I don't know for certain, but I know it's cursed, sure n' simple. I'm leaving, an' you should too."

Big Weird Skull Terrain. Another thing checked off the hobby bucket list.
The ping ponging between projects continues, I got some paint on the Fodder I've been putting together using the official Turnip28 torsos that dropped a while back, mixed mainly with the free medieval infantry kits made by Ilhadiel and some other free bits from online
I'm thinking of going with the Parsnip Pistoliers for my regiment name
Inspired by a John Blanche piece that I can't find anywhere. :(
She will eventually go into a vignette once I think of a fitting background.
