I tripped and fell into the 15mm napoleonics hole. These are supposed to be painted as 1st Regiment of Foot Guards, but I'm not super experienced with this era (it's limited to Sharpe, mostly).
I've only gone and bloody done it, finished my toff for my new Slug's Lament cult! Most of this is from this year's wh+ miniature, The Summons (I took one of the skellies out, snipped the necromancer off the grave, and built up a place for Naps to stand out of green stuff). Zombie Napoleon is from Eureka Miniatures. I made a flagpole out of toothpicks and the flag out of the tube tomato puree comes in.
Behold! Progress! Stopped pretending to be a rail engineer in Satisfactory long enough to get some painting down
Working on another unit of fodder, this time with blue coats. Really lean into that french theme for the slug's lament.
The cult assembles! Sort of! I decided I don't want to go the toady I was planning on using (the toady is of a larger scale, I think the toff should be riding a horse, etc etc), so it's time to raid the napoleonic section of the bits box and make one up. I suppose this is why you get your models out and look at them before you take them to a game!
my toff, about to lose a toff off against lady illiana
working on my toff for my Slug's Lament cult, Napoleon Blownaparte rising from the grave.
Turnipcon post the Third! By this point in the day I was very tired, my brain was mush, and the heat had built up in the venue to the point that when my baron told me I was at a table in the hottest room I mostly gave up, spiritually. You can tell by the lack of photos. My partner in this game was playing the Fungiverous Herd vs. Beekeepers of Bhir & Tragedy of Rust. A pretty convincing victory.
The scab tank in this game used the generic gun so I just plinked it with my fodder, applying panic tokens until my opponent rolled a 1 and exploded from Unstable Icon. Very different from some of the horror stories I heard from other tables at the event.
MVP for the day was definitely my unit of fodder. The ability to remove panic tokens through Stranglin' Harry's cult rules made them much more reliable. I just shoved them at an important objective, let them distract whilst my bastards moved up the flank and my rootlings were sacrificial.
Turnipcon round up post! Part two! My second game at turnipcon was an ambush scenario; my regiment and a Band of the Wurm vs. St. Alamei's Rockets and March of the Proboscis. A close loss, the two units of whelps did a lot of work scooting around the table capturing objectives whilst we stumbled about in the mud. As soon as I got home I started building some whelps of my own:
Turnipcon IIX picture post! Part one!
First game of the day (a randomised doubles tournament), my Stranglin' Harry's & ally's Shattered Lance vs. Uprising of the Louse & Guttersnipes. A convincing victory for us, way too much cavalry on the board when we just didn't roll a blunder until the last round of the game. The highlight was wandering my Toff into Toff-off range of Lady Illiana (in an attempt to cross off some bingo squares) and getting beaten to death slowly over several rounds of combat.

Finished painting my freebooterz grots! Finally, a green skin recipe that looks okay and doesn't take ten thousand years to paint.
Behold! The battl- wait no, fuck, I've just noticed the inside of the weird rubber tracks these meng kits use isn't painted. Christ. I thought this was done but the wires on the roller aren't painted either.
