The blank spots
I’m a huge fan of Studio Ghibli and all of their films, and the one thing that always sticks with me Is the blanks spaces in their films. The spaces in-between. There is an extraordinary value to giving your reader a second, a view, seemingly empty moments for them to look and say, wow look what this story has become. Then they feel the entirety of the story, full force.
