i really enjoy hearing you talk about your writing process & inspirations though!! what you said about human emotion really stood out to me, i just started writing over on my hq sideblog & even though i’m new to narrative fiction, my background is in acting & i’ve ended up applying a lot of my knowledge and training from that in my writing - human emotion is at the core of both mediums, so it feels natural to me to use the same tools to craft a narrative from there. idk it’s just really cool how storytelling is so universal no matter what form it takes!!
i really appreciate what you said about writing what you enjoy too, i feel kinda bad bc i stay writing for kuroo (so whipped 4 him it’s embarrassing😔) & like maaaybe a few of my other faves from hq lmao so my content all feels very self-indulgent. but ultimately the self-indulgence is my motivation to write, and it turns out that’s what makes it resonate with ppl so i’m just gonna keep on indulging and hoping that others relate to it! hehe what is any form of art but the artist’s self-expression onto which the audience projects their own feelings and experiences anyway

but HHHHH SHUT T-T but honestly,,, i very much relate to that! the pining just gets me, i love the tension and the want,,, it’s also so much fun to write hh that’s why i keep pumping out slowburns
and thank you! honestly i’m just Too Opinionated and i think too much about irrelevant things so-- but that’s so cool! i think human emotion ties in with honesty? ren and i have spoken at great length about how we value honesty in fiction, and that’s usually expressed through how the creator weaves emotion through their art. your experience with theatre really exemplifies that, imo! but that sounds really cool, and i think it’s so sweet how you’ve been able to bring those skills with you.
FDSLKJFDLKJ ME TOO,,, ME TOO,,, i think about him too much i’m always like “oh man i’ve got to write something that isn’t kuroo bc otherwise people are going to get annoyed” but then i realise that i haven’t actually posted anything kuroo related for Weeks,,, hmm and yeah, i think fanfiction itself is inherently self-indulgent? so there’s no reason to be beholden to anything other than what you want to write. and YOU’RE RIGHT!!! i don’t think there’s that much objectivity in it, and many artists reject the opportunity to give an explicit meaning to what they’ve created; some do, but the best of them understand that consuming media can, in itself, be a creative act :’)
