It gets really cold in our office and we’re not allowed to use space heaters, so a while back I went to Target and bought a big fleece blanket to cover up with at my desk. And when I’m not using it I just keep it folded up in the corner of my office on the floor.
And the other day one of my coworkers just came in and...took it? Right in front of me? And didn’t even say anything. I’m not sure if she even knew it was mine, like maybe she just thought it was a community blanket.
This was like two weeks ago and she never brought it back. And I’m cold.
The thing is I don’t know this coworker, like at all. I’ve introduced myself to her but we don’t work in the same department and don’t interact much, we’ve spoken once on the elevator and that’s it.
So I feel weird going into her office and being like, “Yo, can I have my blanket back?” I don’t want to be rude and I don’t want to make her feel like SHE was rude. I don’t want to be that bitch Leslie at work who is always like, “Don’t touch my stuff.”
I AM A NICE PERSON. I NEVER WANT PEOPLE TO THINK I AM NOT NICE.
Anyway the blanket was only like $15 and Target is two minutes away. I will probably just buy another one at lunch to avoid confrontation.
