“Go ‘blap’ every time you fire that thing?”
“I don’t go ‘blap,’ it goes ‘blap.’”
“No, you’re saying ‘blap.’ You’re making the sound ‘blap blap’ with your mouth.”
“Well yeah, but only ‘cause it goes ‘blap’ when you shoot it.”
“OK—setting aside the question of whether or not the weapon itself goes ‘blap,’ could you not additionally say ‘blap’ when you fire it?”
