Does anyone remember the Blasterparts Alien Ammo Counter (or B.A.A.C.) custom nerf attachment?
It was made by the nerf mod kit manufacturer Blasterparts and was inspired by the ammo counters seen in the Alien movies (hence the name)
This display/barrel combo kit was pretty hot about 8 years ago and I was very proud to have one on my primary.
Sadly, with Nerf now having released a licensed Alien rifle including the movie-accurate display and counter, the BAAC has officially become obsolete for good. (although, it probably has been for a while with there being much nicer ammo counter kits on the market...)
Now, how does this little piece of nerf history hold up? Well, not good...
All the hardware was originally 3d printed, and then smoothed over with aceton. On the one I had, you could still clearly see the build lines and the entire thing has a melty look to it.
The little shades broke off after a couple of years and the rest of the shell has become very brittle as well
As you can see, the faceplate is warped and the battery door has started to crumble
In conclusion, if you still got one of these in working condition, good for you. If you never had one, you didn't miss much. If you still kinda want something like this, get the pulse rife, much more stylish
