Happy new year 2595, everyone - Team Ratatösk is giving their LARP debut in the end of January, and three or four Hellvetics are going. That means it’s crafting time!

Lore dictates that every Hellvetic has a Trailblazer. I, Jünger, did not really need one when I was playing the auxiliary soldier Staub (†), and I did not know if her successor would be enough fun to get one. Turns out, playing Jünger is a lot of fun; so I got me a NERF Rapidstrike and gave it a case mod. It doesn’t need to fire in game, but it will need sound, which is the project I was waiting for to get into electronics. So Jünger will be fumbling forward off-game and keep you posted eventually.

Moreover, the padded parts of the Hellvetic costume need to be “refreshed”, since thin coats of acrylic color don’t survive being mashine washed. This time, I’m using fabric paint to add a bit of depth and grunge. Let’s see how it fares...

Not quite finished yet, but a few weeks ago a picked up an old nerf maverick for really cheap at a thrift store, and decided to try my hand at recoloring it to look like the Unkempt Harold legendary weapon from Borderlands 2. It's not 1 to 1, but I'm really happy with how it looks so far!
