Chester the Bookie.
Driving back from BLAST & dinner with Philip’s fam.
“I think Chester would be a bookie.” “A what?” “A bookie… like you know, the people who take the bets? He’d have a little notebook and a pencil on his ear.” “Did you take something?”
first week of senior year.
Really. With the exception of Monday (first day at BLAST + fun times with the DeLong fam), the past few days have been difficult.
I'm quickly finding that things about IU that were merely obnoxious in previous years have become things that make me crazy. As in, actually pissed off. [Edited to delete a huge rant. I'll forget how distraught I was later and then wonder why I allowed myself to rant like a crazy person... yeah.]
Yesterday was a difficult day because it just seemed that everything kept going wrong. Small things, nothing major, but a lot of small things add up at the end of the day.
And actually... I was a little surprised by one of them. Apparently I had so much shoved in my backpack that it was coming open as I walked. An IU employee eventually stopped me to let me know I was literally dropping things as I walked. Thankfully, because of that kind employee, I managed to collect my WALLET and phone charger. My sweatshirt is gone. I just can't believe that none of my fellow students could be nice enough to let me know I was dropping things.
There has been some fun stuff going on though! First and foremost, I'm obsessed with my internship at BLASTmedia (I called it BLAST above, just referencing them by their full name now) I've already written a couple blogs and started scheduling tweets and I'm super excited about getting to work there. They have some really cool clients, and I'm already learning from everyone. Very cool.
There are (surprisingly) a couple classes I'm excited about. The first is criminology. Everybody who follows me on Twitter knew I was obsessed with the Casey Anthony case. Combine that with my love of Investigation Discovery and I'm one happy girl in this class. I'm also excited about the class immediately following, a class on business strategy. It's going to be difficult (especially since we're required to speak, ahhh!) but I'm excited that the content is related to businesses that are actually prevalent today, like Disney and Apple.
Right now I'm looking forward to the weekend, seeing Jake Owen in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!, and then seeing Jake Owen + Keith Urban in Chicago in October! This weekend is also the first Michigan game, so we're excited to have Gregg down for Bdubs + game talk.
