Be in love with a ghost. It's wonderful! It's awful! It's sad! It's FUN!!!
Was it really him the whole time?
It takes its toll on you
Royal engagements 🇬🇧
Princess Elizabeth and L.t Philip Mountbatten
On July 9, 1947, Buckingham Palace officially announced the engagement of Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) and Lt. Philip Mountbatten (formerly Prince Philip, Prince of Greece and Denmark, and later the Duke of Edinburgh). Although the couple became engaged in 1946, they did not receive the formal consent of Elizabeth’s father, King George VI, until April 1947. They were married in November of that year and went on to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary in 2017.
To mark the announcement, Princess Elizabeth and Lt. Philip Mountbatten posed for a series of portraits outside Buckingham Palace, shortly before or after a Garden Party held that day. The couple also posed in the Palace’s White Drawing Room alongside the bride’s family.
Elizabeth’s engagement ring was created by jeweller Philip Antrobus, with Prince Philip—then known as Lt. Philip Mountbatten—playing a significant role in its design. The diamonds used in the ring came from a tiara belonging to Philip’s family, while other diamonds from the same tiara were used to create the Queen’s wedding gift bracelet, one of her most treasured pieces of jewelry.
I'm slowly Forgetting your face
Memory...
Pouring in like a flood. Like the helios tidal wave. I can't stop. I'm drowning in it! You can't compete with this. Do you remember the taste of metal in the air? The stink of 20,000 souls crammed into a shelter designer for half that number? Do you guys remember when the reveille bell rang at the exact moment the dome on shelter 41 collapsed? It was exactly at 0600... Almost like cause and effect. The bell rang and woke everyone up a split second before they died. As a boy, I remember thinking.... "That's so unfair."
Can this game stop breaking my heart ? I want to cry poor Philip was feeling guilty about it for all that time TT
