Opening Ceremony launched its childrenswear line in collaboration with Hong Kong based label A for Apple in 2011 and the pair have been going strong ever since. The website says this adorable swimwear capsule collection was created to coincide with the opening of our new London store which was back in October 2012. Okay so we get a pass because Blau 4 Blau launched June 2013! Regardless of anything we are digging every piece and are stoked with the generous size range[12 months-10yrs.] There are two print options for the girls swimsuits the classic bandanna print in blue or red and a colorful rainbow stripe option[with a front off center zipper] each with a contrasting black front criss cross strap! For the lil guys a blue bandanna print swim trunk and lastly a unisex logo drawstring tote. The sizing on the site is limited so hurry and grab your picks before its too late!

Today we are kicking off a new feature, Blau Cuties. I started this blog partly because I was so uninspired with what I was seeing & reading on other “mom/kids” blogs. Where were all the cool moms that shared similar interests as me. I’m so not the typical “mom blogger” I’m African-American, in my early thirties, divorced and have four kids under the age of 13(yes they all have the same father) c’mon I know you were wondering :). I’ve traveled the world a bit lived in Seoul, Korea for two years been to Japan & Wales amongst other places and wore tennis ball air walks in high school. Oh yeah and can probably out sing you in a karaoke battle to Sublimes Lovin Is What I’ve Got! So yeah not necessarily your typical mom. I decided to create a space that other like minded moms & individuals shared the same interests, ideas & style aesthetic. I’ve always kind of been the odd ball out and I’ve always loved it, I’ve always marched to the beat of my own whacky drum! So when you visit Blau4Blau your going to see that conveyed in every post I write. Now why did I say all of that in reference to this post, because these cuties that I’m posting convey that aesthetic that I referred to earlier. They are what I call Blau Cuties and they are from all over the globe!

Our inaugural cutie hails from London & when your Mum is a dope artist/illustrator and you’ve got a cooler than cool name like Zain, I guess you’ve got no choice but to be stylish & dope!
