Blauka - Polana
Blauka is the duo of Georgina Tarasiuk and Peter Lewanczyk, who invoke the sounds of 70′s Poland, through the lens of the retro-futurism of a “bar mleczny” sound. Their recent single “Polana” which appears on their album debut “Miniatura”, is as the band quotes was inspired by sewing together Polish vintage sounds to surf-rock sensibilities. On the track a soft, fluttery prose and billowed vocals meet the shocking jolt of quick guitar riffs against a backdrop of dreamy, space-age euphoria. Written on words speaking about love and desire, Blauka’s latest track speaks of the nostalgia for simpler times.
“Polana” is followed by the lofty, breeze and cosmic wonder of “Fantazmat” which follows in the vein of their Central European retro-futurism.

Blauka - Zawzięcie
"Zawzięcie" is the latest track from Blauka, a duo of comprised of Polish reality-star contestant Georgina Tarasiuk and producer and partner Piotr Lewańczyk. Their latest single "Zawzięcie", which speaks between the push and pull in a relationship is one hard to translate in English. A play on words between "zawzięcie" and the word "zażarcie", the context of the song plays between loving one "relentlessly" versus loving one "aggressively". It's a theme that plays out in their latest track "Zawzięcie” as reflected in both the self-styled “rock-tinged retro-recreational lounge” and the absurdity of behind their latest video. Amongst its socialist realist setting and colorful kitsch, "Zawzięcie" spills over a slinky cascade of synthesizer and weaving vocal flux that overlays the track’s grungy guitars.
