Blaze the cat Headcanons

At first, Blaze has no idea how to handle affection. She’s used to duty, order and discipline, not this softness or affection.

So if you were to hold her hand for the first time, she'd freeze for a second before very carefully holding back.

She’s not big on PDA, but in private she'd most likely end up feeling comfortableenough to rest her head on your shoulder and cuddle.

I think Blaze would show love through actions instead of words.

She'd make sure you’re warm if it’s cold, walk ahead of you to keep you safe, fix small things for you without saying anything and such!

I also think compliments would absolutely destroy her composure.

Tell her she’s doing well or that you admire her strength, and she’ll look away trying to stay composed while clearly flustered.

She secretly loves when you brush her hair/fur

At first she’d be like “this is unnecessary” but then she'd just accept it and enjoy it.

If you were upset, she'd go into protective mode instantly.

She may not say the perfect comforting words, but she’d stay right beside you the entire time.

I think Blaze is very big on trust, so once you earn it, she'd become incredibly loyal and patient with you in ways no one else gets to see.

She'd try to be romantic but would be a bit awkward about it.

She would 100% stand between you and danger without hesitation.

You are her person, and protecting you is as important to her as protecting the sol emeralds.

do you think blaze would like thrifting

Yes yes yes yes he's actually so good at thrifting. Everything he buys is second hand for better and for worse. He has no sense of style other than "doesn't look bad with the rest of my stuff". Absolute king at saving money until his decade old appliances catch on fire.

If I said that Blaze's hate of glass was not werewolf instinct but rather deep repression of objectum based feelings that were suppressed due to cultural ideas about werewolves and now manifesting in the form of hatred due to that suppression would that be anything

Blaze definetly gets sick more than he'll ever account for. Some of the times he's been asked to leave a class it's because he started coughing and didn't stop for two minutes straight. The only reason he ever gets better is because his second mom is a nurse and can read his symptoms pretty well and take care of him. Which means she needs to enter later into his life so he isn't used to relying on her and has to get lectured on accepting help from others.

And yes he has dad sneezes. He has shook items on walls and heard its grand echo in tall ceilings. He kinda gets a kick out of it even if it annoys the hell out of some people (his siblings, and also Dottie sometimes, and Aphmau a lot of the time)

A while ago I remember there being discourse and discussion about Aaron being a super senior in PDH season 1, and I cannot for the life of me figure out where people got that idea.

And it doesn't even matter because I just got an even better idea. Forget Aaron as a super senior...

I'm gonna make Blaze a super senior in PDH season 2. He failed like one or two classes and got held back from graduating, and he is now severely over compensating for this failure by going 150% on the classes he needs to pass. He's so enthusiastic about them despite not caring enough to pass them in the first place. He's going to the unnecessary extremes of staging elaborate social experiments because he thinks that's what's needed to pass his senior language arts class, when all his teacher wants him to do is demonstrate understanding of rhetoric.

He has so many free periods. He keeps inexplicably showing up to elective classes to just hang out. He ends up cast in the school play despite never participating in any theatre classes or clubs. Some teachers have to turn him away at the door because he distracts their students. He's done so much unpaid labor for the janitorial staff when wandering around the school bored.

No wonder he wants to be the alpha the second Aphmau starts actively looking. He's bored out of his fucking mind.

(Related to a post u made 13 hours ago of wanting more Blaze head canons, sorry I’m not really a Blaze fan) I feel like Blaze would try his best to make women just feel more safe around him in general. Such as walking Infront of her when there the only ones in an alley way or smth (idk ur Blaze smokes weed)

Ohhhhh yes. Blaze doesn't necessarily have scary dog privileges, but he does recognize his Big Man privileges and uses them to assist all the women in his life. He's walking on the dangerous part of the sidewalk, he will pretend to be your boyfriend to get someone away from you, and he will not hesitate to start a public altercation because of a creep hitting on one of his friends. And yes he does smoke weed, so he's the one standing in the back alley and keeping an eye out.

Also he carries menstrual products in his many pockets and backpacks. He never needs them, but he's been around many friends who had them start unexpectedly and is happy to help them when he can.

omgggg so excited to read the new roommates installment!! gonna use it as incentive to finish my last week of this semester. you will see me freaking out in the comments in about a week (!!!!!!) so excited and cant wait to read. (finally some good fucking food /ref)

i also humbly offer my personal headcanon that Blaze was raised by two moms. he gives me "raised with good female role models" energy idk how to explain. whether those two moms are officially married or just in a co-parenting companionship situation is complicated, but Blaze loves both of them and all bagillion of his siblings and cousins that he ended up being a male role model for. eldest child for sure

First: Yayayayaya!! I'm so excited for you to read what I have written!! It's some of my best and worst work in the entire saga honestly, it's the most hot mess the series will get and I love it.

Second: Another mother figure in Blaze's life is huge actually. I've always written him as not having a father, but his mom should have a friend/situationship that she doesn't want to lean on significantly, but also ends up needing a lot of support from her while she's trying to navigate being a single parent to 4 kids.

I think he'd be the last of his siblings to call this woman in their lives "Mother", but as the kid who remembers most vividly what his father was like and is most fucked up by it, it means the most to her. That he can accept having two parents again even after the trauma of the last time he did.

He also doesn't have a different name for them. He calls them both Mom. Not even Mom and Mother, no they're both Mom, interchangeably. There are friends Blaze has had for years that don't even realize he's talking about two different people.

Blaze Headcanons

1: Blaze has no mother and no Father, she is the Daughter of Sol, born from the flames of Sol itself. In essence she was created by the Sol Dimension as its protector and caretaker. She is the Daughter of Sol, and the Child of Flame itself in a real sense she is the will of her dimension. 

2: Blaze doesn’t always understand her own emotions, and struggles with Empathy something Sonic instilled in her. There was a time when she shunned all such feelings and yet, now she values her emotions but can be easily swept up by them.

3: As the Daughter of the Fires of Sol she is completely immune to fire, and heat of any degree. However this has some consequences as her body temp is innately higher then others, though normally not enough to cause harm in times of rage or anger, her body can burn those who touch her.

4: Blaze can not be away from her own realm to long or she slowly becomes more mortal. Losing her flames and becoming weaker. If she is away to long, she could lose her connection entirely and with it her flames and ability to use the sol emeralds.

5: She has a fear of heights despite being a feline, and gets air sick very easily so despite being able to fly with her flames she rarely does so. This all stems from her getting herself stuck in a tree as a child and was unable to get herself down do to fear of falling and hurting herself. She also dislikes water, but its less of a fear and more of a general dislike.

6: Blaze enjoys games that challenge her mentally more the physically. She loves Chess, and puzzles and number games especially. She also has a passion for Gardening, and enjoys spending time in her own garden.

7: Blazes outfit is made from her own fur, as it is the only thing that can withstand her intense fiery power and not burn away. 

8: Blaze loves fish, but her hate of water means she rarely gets it herself. 

9: Blazes closest friend is Marine despite her crazy antics, the two are very close friends, though Marine often goes off on her own adventures, blaze has done her best to educate her and give her a normal life.

10: Blaze is very inept when it comes to romance and has little to no clue on how one initiates any sort of romance or intimacy and tends to stumble all over herself when she finds herself attracted to someone.
