fun fact i sat next to my friend from pathfinders who goes to my school on the bus today and Blaze's friend was sitting behind us and when my friend stood up to get off the bus i said "see you tonight" bc we had pathfinders tonight and Blaze's friend was like "oOoOoh~~~ youre seeing her tonight???" like yeah bitch we're friends it doesnt mean we're dating

bbc merlin au where merlin and arthur both think they're the magical half of the prophecy

instead of "once and future king" + "emrys", it's something more general like "might and magic" bringing the golden age

merlin thinks arthur is "might" since he's the prince & a knight, while arthur (who has magic here) thinks merlin is "might" since he's so courageous. merlin has gaius to confide in, while arthur has morgana

the gag here is naturally that they are not only both might & magic, but they are also both stupid- and won't call out each other's suspicious behavior because theyre worried itll put them under scrutiny. peak

had an idea & drew this up months ago but forgot 2 post it... here is my merlin band AU that i loosely based on bocchi the rock

general descriptions for everyone:

merlin- posted guitar covers/originals online for several years, & is now moving to the big city to do music full-time. he got a job working at a live house, where he meets gwen, who also works there- she's looking to start a band, so after they hit it off, she invites him to join. although merlin's a fantastic guitarist, he's not used to playing in a live band, which makes him seem far less skilled at first glance.

arthur- recently graduated uni with a degree in business, & is currently working at his father uther's company- a job he never really wanted, & especially doesn't want now, as his opinion of uther continues to decline. his half-sister morgana's been pestering him to quit & do music, since he's always had a passion for it that's mostly been locked away (quit your job. join my emo band). while he's not ready to take the leap quite yet, he does agree to be the vocalist for her band "if it'll make you finally quit nagging me" (he's secretly very very interested in doing it)

gwen- unsure of what to do after graduating high school, gwen took a gap year, & reconnected with her estranged brother elyan. a sound engineer who does his own music on the side, gwen decides to move in with him for the time being, & rediscovers her childhood passion for drumming. after a few years of honing her skills, gwen's itching to play more, hoping to eventually do it full-time. luckily, she has a friend in morgana, a bassist that frequents the live house gwen works at, & her new coworker merlin, a guitarist that's a bit rough around the edges but incredibly passionate.

morgana- arthur's half-sister. she grew up with him, but always had a tense relationship with uther, especially after she came out & started to transition. she dropped out of uni after a year, and has been earning her keep by playing bass (+ guitar) for whoever needs a fill-in. now that she's more stable, she's looking to form a band of her own, starting with gwen (& arthur if she can wear him down)
