No Byakuya isn’t dead. He’s actually currently at the Spirit Palace being healed. If you start reading from chapter 512 onward then you’ll see.

I CAN'T STOP READING THE LAST TWO CHAPTERS OF BLEACH IT'S LIKE I GET SOME SICK JOY OF BECOMING OVERWHELMED WITH ANGUISH FROM BYAKUYA DYING OR MAYBE DYING AND THIS CHAPTER HIS SWORD BROKE AND THAT'S LIKE SAYING HE DEFF DIED AND HE EXPLAINS HOW HE COMPLETELY FAILED THE SOUL SOCIETY AND CALLED HIMSELF A DESPICABLE MAN AND EVEN CRIED. CRIED. BYAKUYA JUST DOESN'T FUCKING CRY LIKE THAT.
