Why aren't more people concerned with how ignorant Thanos is?  His plan isn't even logical.  No one in the movie disputes his rationale other than "killing people is bad."  Like??  You know that if you want to kill a bunch of people so that the survivors have more resources, you're not actually solving the problem of sustainability, and you're hurting their means of production, not to mention traumatizing everyone!  Also, what business is it of his if the dominant species of a planet fails and dies out?  They clearly weren't meant to survive if they can't manage their own resources, and that's assuming all humanoid life faced the same problem as his race.  He's literally like a micromanaging boss who doesn't actually know anything about how the company works.  (tbh he’s kind of like your typical white guy who thinks he knows everything and can’t imagine that your problems are different from his so why would he bother learning about the nuances of your life?)

NASA’s budget is only 18-19 billion

It’s estimated that to end extreme poverty would take 175 billion dollars

Clearly, it’s space stuff that’s taking up all money that could otherwise go to help people.

Fuck this “Cut science and art because poor people exist!” bullshit.  Make fucking rich people pay their damned taxes.  That *ALONE* solves the vast majority of the problems.  Make employers hire more people, not keep condensing job duties into more and more single positions (some of us are getting sick of doing the work of three people on barely the salary for one of them).  Demand pay rates increase so that EVERYONE with a job makes enough to support themselves.  Demand better health care, so that people don’t lose their homes and jobs because someone in their family got fucking cancer, or chronic illness, or severe injury.   Science isn’t the problem.  The problem is capitalism and greed.

I’m not anti-capitalist (hello my fam is from cuba so) but there’s nothing wrong with saying that the american iteration of capitalism is Clearly Not Working.  like I get that economics is called the dismal science for a reason but also rich people not holding up their end of the agreement is shenanigans.  legit if amazon had paid taxes for last year, we could probably house the homeless.  (don’t quote me on that math)
