Re-reading BLEACH chapter 529 and I just had a weird thought: does Isshin know about Hitsugaya and Momo’s bond and past together?
At the time of the chapter, Momo would have been a lieutenant (because Gin is a captain by then), so I’d imagine she, Matsumoto, and Isshin would have interacted every now and then, and she probably came over to the tenth division sometimes for whatever reason (and she probably found Hitsugaya doing all the paperwork!).
Now Isshin being Isshin...I wonder if he teased Hitsugaya about his relationship with Momo or (playfully) used it against him / to encourage him to improve his skills?

Recent Bleach: That answers some questions
Well, we now know for sure why the Grandfisher referred to Ichigo as a pureblood back in the day. He was referring to his Quincy heritage not his Shinigami heritage. The bigger question stemming from this is how did he know? Did Aizen pass something on? Is it Hollow lore that pureblood Quincies exist and are somehow different? No other Hollow seems to have mentioned it apart from GF. Hopefully there's an answer on its way. I'm thinking the safest bet would be that Aizen mentioned it while frolicking through HM looking for victims/happy experiment time candidates.
There's also the matter of Ishida. If Ryuuken really did marry Katagiri like some suspect then Uryuu isn't a pureblood Quincy because she's a mixed blood herself. It'd explain why the VR haven't kicked in his front door yet with them being the nuts they are. Man, I'm getting Harry Potter vibes with all this stuff on purebloods. XD Added lulz if Yhwach turns out not to be pure himself~ =P
