finally finished this sketch few weeks ago,,, , I love how beautiful Rukia's bankai is, but there's a little bit too much for her bankai outfit, especially those shoulder things...so I just came along with my ideas,,,lol

Wow. I just read the latest bleach chapters and I would like to give a giant fucking shoutout to Rukia's new abilities because it's pretty hard to grasp how fucking amazing they are at first. She has literally taught her body to move beyond the grave, first of all, and jesus christ that's the most badass thing I've ever seen. And second, her bankai and her ability to lower body temperature stands to be one of the most deadly things ever because to cover an area with a temperature of absolute zero or below (idk is that possible? they made it sound like that was it) means that she can literally destroy everything in that area because let me tell you what exists at absolute zero- nothing. Molecules freeze. Energy freezes. Fire stops existing. Ice freezes further. Anything Rukia catches in her bankai or anything she touches while in that state- instant goner. Wow. My queen.

Whenever I see arguments like this one, claiming that Rukia doesn’t deserve a bankai because she doesn’t ‘work her ass off for it’, I just feel like some people deliberately overlooks very obvious character traits that she’s displayed throughout the progression of the manga. She’s a hard worker, you can see that from the flashback of the Academy days. You can see it in the beginning of the manga itself, when she devotes herself to her shinigami duties even after realising that she’s not getting any better inside the gigai. She finds ways to make herself useful, injuries be damned. You know she already has the forms of her shikai when Kaien was still alive (check the Espada Aaroniero chapters) because Kaien trained with her. That wasyears before. She would’ve improved with time. The only reason she wasn’t seated earlier was because of Byakuya’s interference.

Now put that into context - do you honestly think that Rukia spent her recovery period during the time-skip just chillaxing around, polishing the porcelain-smoothness of her skin to further perfection? It’s logical to assume, because we haven’t received a flashback chapter of her training with Sode no Shirayuki, that she did work her ass off. And her bankai isn’t perfect, not yet. Like Renji’s ‘recharge’ mode, she suffers from drawbacks too. It’s one of the most dangerous, unforgiving bankai that’s been introduced so far - one wrong move and she’ll shatter like a fragile ice sculpture.

“…Rukia who didn’t even mastered her shikai, who didn’t train to have a bankai and now she got a bankai. How people can even argue that bankai didn’t become “cheap”? I’d like Rukia to have bankai but if she deserve it, if she trained and obtained it by herself.”

Didn’t even master her shikai? Didn’t train to have a bankai?

Excuse me but how could you say that she didn’t master her shikai? Her shikai has forms. Dances, specifically. And that is characteristic of a high-level shikai, compared to Omaeda’s Gegetsuburi (just an example off the top of my head, not to diss him or anything because he’s precious). And once she’s obtained shikai, why wouldn’t she then train for bankai? She wouldn’t stop halfway through like that, considering her character. She’s headstrong and tenacious. She is the one who routinely kicks Ichigo out of his funks when he needs it the most, often citing that giving up is not an option. She is the sister of the illustrated Kuchiki Byakuya and the lieutenant of the 13th Division. The Soul Society is under serious threat from the Quincies and you’d think she would be happy with just shikai?

Hell no.

And man, if people in the ‘bleach' or 'bleach 570' tags want to rave about Rukia and her long-awaited bankai and her general awesomeness, let them be. It’s the chapter tag. It’s relevant to the chapter. No one’s stopping anyone to speculate on the new, weird-as-fuck Quincy that looks a lot like Uryuu’s Dead Grandpa. No one will forget the plot just because Rukia gets her bankai, although it would be pretty rad and hilarious (and also highly improbable) if she wins the war just by freezing everyone’s asses. We cheered over a lot of bankai throughout the chapters, not just this one. Rukia’s fans are just rejoicing over her development and her recent triumphant return. 

Don’t piss on other people’s parade. That ain’t cool.
