Alright, so since everyone is still trying to cool off from older Toshiro, I’m just gonna speak my mind about Kenpachi having bankai.
A lot of people are complaining about the fact that he’s only just attained Shikai and should not have Bankai, Kubo is just pulling Bankai left, right and center.
Well of course he is. It’s THE last arc of the manga, once this is over, that’s it. Nadda, done, finito. I’m pretty sure Kubo want’s to tie a lot of loose ends.
Im happy to have seen my favourite Captains bankai (Shunsui, if you can’t guess) Same with Urahara, those two bankai’s were creepy in on themselves.
But anyway, to those complaining, listen. Zaraki stole his Zanpakuto, yes and the guy enjoyed going on a killing spree but now we know that Yachiru is a manifestation of his Zanpakuto just think...
Part of attaining bankai is to manifest their form into the world, as we’ve seen with Renji, Ichigo etc
Zaraki has been manifesting Yachiru from before he even joined the Gotei 13 and I'm guessing that’s the first and only time a Zanpakuto spirit became a member of the Gotei 13.
He wasn’t interested for a long time, in learning his Zanpakutos name (except that one time he fought Ichigo to a draw.)
So in short, yes the man is fully capable of performing Bankai and it’s not just Kubo pulling it out his ass.
Though, it still leaves some gaps, like how Yachiru had her own Zanpakuto but hey, it’s late and I just wanted to jot my thoughts down.
