Freaking love your Delilah as being like a single mum with super clingy kids. Feels like this image of an opossum and her babies
I just had to draw it! Delilah couldn't get Main Toons off of her until they bonded with their Handlers, and then the Handlers couldn't get the Toons off of them neither but it's their job to be around them, so...
Been thinking a lot about Shrimpo and what actual threat he is to the others. He is a very loud, obnoxious and spiteful Toon but is he actually violent to other Toons? The state of his room - holes in the walls, crumpled paper, punching bags - it all may lead to the conclusion that he can and will hurt someone else, BUT! Shrimpo has certain limits, for example regarding younger Toons
This is a dialogue from Gourdy's gossips about Shrimpo. Actually, @/the-meme-monarch portayed that dialogue pretty well. They made a comic where Shrimpo pushed Gourdy only because he scared him and it caught him off guard. So yeah, it might have been an accident since Gourdy doesn't express any bad feelings towards Shrimpo
Shrimpo tried to frighten Toodles by the possibility of the elevator crashing and killing them both, but this is the only dialogue where Shrimpo doesn't insult the Toon he's talking to, so it might actually mean something
Shrimpo knows his capabilities and knows when to stop fooling around before he finds out. Shrimpo knows he cannot take Yatta in a fight, and she is not at all intimidated by him so he stops trying and actually admits he doesn't like being challenged by someone taller than him (quick reminder that in-game Shrimpo is shorter than everyone else, even Toodles)
When talking to Sprout, this is the only instance of Shrimpo actually talking normally before going completely silent. He knows it's a bad idea to provoke Sprout so he doesn't press the issue further
When Shrimpo talks with or about Glisten, he never mentions in any of the dialogues that he can or will hurt him, even though it's really easy to do so. Glisten is a mirror after all, and it's easy to break him. But still, he doesn't do that, he only expresses hatred towards him
Regarding other fragile Toons like Finn, Shelly and Poppy - again, no mention of breaking, shattering or popping - even though it's really easy to do so!
And, as we know from Dandy's gossip, Shrimpo is friends with Finn
So far, THE ONLY Toon Shrimpo threatens with violence is Looey, though I really think it might come from his fear of clowns, at least this is the reason for Glisten to act nervously around Looey, it might be the same case for Shrimpo, he just expresses it differently!
I was playing as Pebble and my friend as Rodger. There was an Ichor leak on one of the floors and for some reason after my friend stepped in a puddle, Rodger's head became black as if he dipped his face in Ichor and it was like this the whole run
After a discussion with @pmpwbrrs I brainstormed some ideas, regarding Toon diseases, so far I made three of them. Keep in mind that these diseases has nothing to do with Twisted Toons, it's a different thing!
ICHOR BLOATING
Ichor bloating is a disease when a Toon becomes overfilled with ichor and they may experience bloating, internal bleeding and in some cases popping. A sick Toon's internals overfill with ichor and become bigger in size. It happened A LOT during Toon prototyping and at some point Delilah was scared to come in contact with created Toons because she thought they were gonna blow up too. Treatment: Toon should drink a big amount of water to wash out the ichor from their system, sometimes stomach cleaning is required. In late stages there's not much to do other than to isolate a sick Toon so they can pop without making a big mess.
TOON FLU
Toon flu is not as bad as it looks, though it's very contagious. At some point, Gardenview center had to be put on a lockdown due to the global epidemic. Toon experience sweating, fatigue, tremor, fever and excessive ichor release (in tears, mucus and vomit). Water-based Toons like Poppy and Finn will vomit much more. Humans can't get infected, though it's not recommended to stay for long with a sick Toon. Ichor has a very strong chemical metallic smell which can make a human feel dizzy and lightheaded. Treatment: bed rest, hydration, warm food or beverages. It's similar to human flu and it can be treated with human medicine though it works much stronger on my Toons and can actually knock them out for the time of their healing.
That's how fast the flu had spread among the Toons. In only three days, all of the Toons were infected. Except the Holiday ones, luckily it happened at the time when no Holidays occurred.
TOON RASH
Toon rash happens solely to food-based Toons and Toons who have fur. Infected Toons experience itching, burning, or stinging sensations on their skin, they may loose some of their fur or hair. Infected Toons are aggressive and easily irritated. They might hurt themselves in an attempt to scratch the rash until it's bleeding. If the wounds of a food-based Toon are not treated in time, they start to rot. Treatment: ichor shot, covering rash with bandages, cone of shame.
i can just imagine that the mains would just be clawing at the door (except vee, and maybe Astro), and once Delilah just lets them into her room they're just laying on top of her like very clingy cats (they will not cuddle with each other, they have to have a human body with them at all times ← platonic only)
YES!!!! ABSOLUTELY!! I imagine each Main would have a different pattern how they announce their presence to enter Delilah's room. Vee would just walk in without invitation if the door is unlocked; Astro shuffles his feet against the carpet; Sprout, Shelly and Pebble claw at the door; Bassie drums her fingers against the wood; Gourdy reaches his paws under the door like a kitten; Dandy and Bobette are the most normal ones out of bunch, they both knock but the first uses his fist and the latter uses the back of her foot.
Headcanon: Toons think the first thing they see after their creation is their parent/guardian like baby ducks, and Delilah doesn't know what to do with it. Bonding Main Toons with their Handlers was a very long process, that's why only they got the Handlers in the first place, otherwise it's too much work.
How did sprout react to Cosmo being created? Was Cosmo shy at first (clinging to Delilah) or did they click immediately
There was an official storyboard that portrayed the first time they met buuut... I don't consider them canon! It's a storyboard for a cartoon after all, it could've been entirely different in real life
I wanted to show here just how differently the founders treat the Toons. Arthur uses a more friendly approach, and Delilah tries to keep everything professional and sterile. The only reason Delilah carried Cosmo is because it was a faster way to get from her office to the lobby, than letting him follow her with his tiny steps. She wouldn't do it normally. It was only for efficiency.
They were both shy at first but I feel like if Delilah was able to create the Toons with their exact personalities as Arthur described them, then I feel like there could be some memories of a potential friend Sprout should've had. And when he finally met him, they clicked like two puzzle pieces.
