Bleach Fic Angst Question
So I started writing Hearts and Souls (working fic name but it’s kinda cute so might keep it) and my brain went you know what’s fucking MEAN
Dangling an angsty love story in front of you all
Also because I can’t have everyone be happy because someone would get annoyed that there’s all rainbows and sunshine occurring.
Not that my other two OC’s don’t have their own angst either - you’ll meet them when I reach them in the fic
What happened to Hikari
Reincarnated
Suspended Animation
Completely Deceased
Now Hikari is Shinji’s love interest yes but like he’s been in the human world for 100 years and she at the time of her “death” was under the impression he was dead.
She would have died let’s say 2-4 years after the incident and while I have noted that Kaoru graduated / Joined Squad 11 at the same time as Ikkaku and Yumichika it would be a great motivator for her to get stronger and would give her the two blades I’d planned originally before making Hikari without fucking with the only Shunsui and Jushiro have dual blades lore.
So now Kaoru represents Hel (Norse myth with the snake and the wolf blades) instead of each Akiyama sibling representing it (Kaoru- Wolf, Hikari- Snake & Shouta - Darkness)
Reincarnated: I could see Shinji coming across her in Karakura Town and angstily thinking she’s in a Gigai getting all excited to see someone he knows and boom she’s all
“Sorry I don’t believe we’ve met - but I’m sure you’re tired of running through my mind.” (She’s a flirt for Shinji sue me)
Suspended Animation: Aizen and his plans and thinks he grabbed the stronger twin to steal her powers and shit and later needs Orihime to keep her alive. She’d of course be saved- maybe during the same arc where they’ve gone to save Orihime and see her and bring her back when they can. When she wakes up she’d be all.
“Sorry for taking the world’s longest nap.” And an extra spicy “Hebinoha no longer belongs to be Kaoru, he’s yours.”
Completely Deceased: Hikari and Shinji’s love story would have to be before the incident and her death (obviously) and would be written in flashbacks and Kaoru would 100% be the one to tell him when she finds out he was alive the whole time
Would again serve as motivation for Kaoru to get stronger though
