Also love that they both end up sharing something with humanity that seemed exclusive to only one species: dead Eliksni getting Ghosts and humans learning to Witness.

There's more to dog into regarding themes and aesthetics, but I was just hit by the realization that Eliksni were the first aliens that really captured my imagination and made me think about them beyond their in-game representation, and wouldn't you know it I fell for it again after reading No Room for a Wallflower.
