The pine goes down in bedroom #3.
This is our future “white room”. Everything will be white (or white-ish). Floors: bleached and whitewashed. Walls: white or white/white wallpaper. Furniture: white or natural wood. Fabrics: Yep, white. Wall art: You guessed it, white.
The cork underlayment helps level out bumps in the floor (from the sleepers) and transfers the radiant heat better than rubber/foam. The 3/4″ T&G floor boards will be a mix of two widths: 5 1/8″ and 7 1/2″. Most are 16 ft lengths. All will be bleached to a near white look, then pickled/dyed/whitewashed. The balcony step takes a 45 degree corner with the board edges and grain in line with the floor. And the top part of the step deck will be an exterior worthy deck wood (ie: Ipe, teak, etc) that will run “through the door” to the small exterior Juliet balcony.
Bleaching starts next weekend. More brain cells shot to hell.
