Danielle hushed John as their teacher passed their lab table, waiting for her to wander out of earshot as not to be chastised for wandering off-topic, rather than discussing the experiment at hand.

“It amuses me that you even bother asking anymore.” She peered into the microscope and began to jot down notes. “If I don’t agree, you’ll sweet talk me into it anyway. We both know this.” Danielle let out a heavy sigh. “We’ll have to wait until most of the students have gone home or Sam will get suspicious that we’ve missed class.”
