just now realizing that a big reason I personally hate sitting through sex scenes in movies is the noise. I have misophonia. Wet, squishy, disgusting human sounds (like eating/chewing, gum popping, and the cacophony or horrible wet mouth noises they put over kissing/intimate scenes in media) are unbearable to me and fill me with a murderous rage akin to Jack Torrance in The Shining. It certainly doesn't help that I don't find like 99.99999999999999999% of irl people even remotely attractive (like, how would you feel about seeing some ugly rando on the bus naked and doing sexual shit like would you not be uncomfortable??)
however I don't think putting sex scenes in movies should be banned or whatever. Like I've said before, i'm not here to censor art, just gimme a heads up so I can not buy a ticket. Things I don't like are allowed to exist! I also have a right not to engage!
