verses, plots, connections & hcs // @bledsun
VERSE ME : udyati in her sky high verse who becomes the freeze girl to luka's warren peace. and everyone is like: "stop! do not engage!" but udyati is udyati and surely luka can't be that bad, right? wrong, everyone says, but udyati is also very stubborn and won't let that stop her! ultimately, this seems to be the right call because luka and udyati are paired up for save the citizen twice: once as villains and once as heroes. they win both rounds. PLOT ME : udyati in the twilight-verse. she's not a big fan of vampires due to a harrowing experience she had with a vetala, an indian vampire who can see the past, present and future and can also possess people. she's #team wolf and also #team luka and it's not just because luka is always warm. it's just because luka's cool. pun absolutely intended.
CONNECTION ME : unlikely allies and/or friends because luka is prickly and udyati is the :D emoji in half-alien form. also: "so aliens are real." / "yes." / "okay, cool." and: "so you're gonna be around for a long time, huh?" / "yeah." / "me too."
HEADCANON ME : the wolves will be around for as long as they continue to shapeshift. if they stop, they age. and while your muse has a similar deal - renounce her powers and live as a mortal or keep them and remain effectively immortal - i feel like luka is one of the few people who understands, who really, truly, understands what it feels like to remain while others pass on, and who understands what it feels like to serve a being - or beings - higher than yourself. to have a calling. to have a purpose. and i think they could bond about that, too. in any kind of verse, really.

The day that he discovered Luka wearing his sweater, he immediately went to Leah( @copiesofher ) to explain to her that nothing was happening, she’s just a little sister figure. He tells her with a hug so he can get her scent all over himself; just to satisfy any ire he might have on himself.
Wanahton has never had a smaller sibling, he just has nieces and nephews (nephews specifically), so he just treats Luka the same way that his own sister treats him - but on the level of a sister.
When she wakes him up in the middle of the night to make pancakes, he also turns to nudge Leah awake to tell her. Sometimes he just goes ahead and starts making the entire household breakfast cause he’s already standing here.
At the end of the road of Breaking Dawn, it’s Luka that Wanahton first breaks it to that he is going to start talking Leah into leaving the state with him and moving with him back to the Dakotas. Wanahton thinks that it’ll soften the blow should he succeed in time when the rest of the family expects it to happen.
When Leah is not around and Wanahton borderline pisses Sam off he settles next to Luka in a bid to make himself behave - he’s here for Leah after all. Not here to get kicked out. So when Leah isn’t around he treats Luka like a small impulse control.
Me : so those headcanons you have about Jacob and Luka @bledsun :

LUKA & JACOB
Luka was Jacob’s first kiss, and it meant a lot to him. They were young, as kids often are when they decide they want to try to kiss for the first time, and they both pretended it was gross and blamed it on being ‘cousins’ ( for those of you reading this who don’t know -- they’re not cousins, but Jacob calls her mom and dad ‘aunt’ and ‘uncle’ because they’re family friends ). But Jacob refused to brush his teeth that night ( gross, boys ) because he didn’t want to wash away that first kiss, and definitely did not think it was gross at all.
Jacob loves birthdays, and always celebrates them with appropriate flare and excitement. He’s a big gift giver, even if the gifts themselves aren’t very big or expensive. He usually brings her flowers ( that he definitely picked instead of buying because who’s got money for that when they literally grow out of the ground? ) and always makes her something to go along with it, usually depending on her interests that year. His dad used to make him buy Christmas and birthday cards for his sisters, and so he always does the same for Luka even if he doesn’t usually add more than a ‘from Jacob’ in his own handwriting. He’s always a little disappointed that Luka isn’t usually around for his birthdays, being in the dead of winter, but appreciates letters or calls from her around the day.
Of course the first birthday she does spend in La Push with him, they sleep together for the first time ( which is not the gift he was expecting at all ) and it’ll be a long long time before another birthday can trump that.
Even with the heartbreak that follows when she has to go back to Nunavut the next day,
Jacob loves sharing music with her. She’s likely the first person he sends a new jam to, even if it’s not technically new and she’s probably already heard it before. ( He’s not a huge music buff, so he’s usually months or years behind ). He likes when she sends him suggestions too, since she’s got better taste in that stuff than he does. Most of his music comes from recommendations from others, and she’s definitely a big contributor.
Also he’s actually not a terrible dancer, and generally just likes to move to a good beat. Thanks to the stereo system he hooked up in the garage, he’s got a pretty great party space, which leads to a lot of late nights with too many drinks and all the dancing. She’s always there at the end of the night to help haul Embry on to the front porch from the yard, and to clean up the beer bottles the next morning.
Fireflies.
She’s the first person he’ll call to go for a walk in the dead of the night, knowing just how messed up her sleep schedule is he always expects a yes to his spontaneous requests. Embry and Quil get him -- they’re two of his best friends -- but so does and is Luka. She gets him in different ways, in ways Embry and Quil don’t always have time for. All four of them are messed up, have their own shit, and get where each other is coming from. But where Embry and Quil sometimes don’t have the patience for Jacob, he appreciates endlessly that Luka seems to have ample amounts of it.
He loves her hair. Never cut it Luka, he will be sad.

@bledsun SENT : ❛ it’s hard to sit here and be close to you and not kiss you. ❜ / * SHORT SENTENCES.
Surprised marked him with a subtle parting of lips, dark brown eyes blinking gently in her direction. He was used to her being forward with him, but rarely with words, rarely like that. His brows pulled upwards in the middle ever so slightly, posing a silent question in response, as he sucked in his lower lip and caught it between his teeth. He knew there were others in the room that had caught her words too, ears that could hear more than ordinary volume now prickling for a delicious detail. He was grateful that neither his dad not his aunt or uncle had that particular ability, and a glance in their directions were they were scattered from the dining room to the kitchen reassured him that they were entirely absorbed in their conversations, and not at all occupied with the whispered admission Luka had just made near his ear.
As the immediate thought struck him -- and he was sure the same one was on her mind -- to sneak off, find a private spot across the property or further, a secretive smile formed in the corner of his mouth. The initial question his expression had posed now reshaped with a tilt of his head, the physical equivalent, well then do you want to get out of here? Based on the stage of the afternoon, the low levels of intoxication, the easy going chatter, and the fact that the vats of chilli that were only just boiling, he figured they’d have at least an hour to disappear and reappear before anyone was calling to eat. His fingers found the inside of her wrist and gave it a little tug as he set down his half empty beer bottle with a little clunk against the wooden coffee table. As he weaved his way towards the back door, the most direct route out, he released her wrist to avoid lingering gazes -- who’d miss them for an hour anyways?
@bledsun SENT : 🎃 for a random autumn starter ( Dried and wilted flowers ) / AUTUMN AESTHETICS *
He followed a few steps behind, content to let her pick her own pace and to follow in her wake. He watched her dark hair ripple over her shoulders and down her back, caught and flipped by the light breeze that would have caused a shiver to run through anyone who wasn’t them. But with her fire, and his wolf, they could easily brave such a blistery fall day. Hs crunched along, matching his steps to the soft imprints her shoes left in the damp dirt, cutting his stride short so that he could step as she did. A little game, soon forgotten as the path started to curve with familiarity. At the hollow base of a tree stood a patch of dying flowers, the last unplucked gems of a passing season. He swept forward with sudden interest and impulse, picking the most intact one from the lowest point of its step. It held together in his delicate grip as he strode forwards, tapping Luka on one shoulder before dodging around past the other.
“Here,” he said with a lopsided smile, stopping in front of her so she was forced to pause too. His free hand brushed a lock of hair past her face while the other set the wilted flower carefully behind her ear. “Won’t be any of those -- even dead ones -- when you head back home.”
