little shadows follow the gray smoke as it billows above our heads. ash is cast down to our feet, scattered to cover more ground. the earth shall see no light as the trees are pushed over and covered with the darkened crisp. mountains made soft with piles of burned wood, crumbling into the caverns. the sweetly soft snow melts in an instant and drowns the hardened ground. the earth shall see no light for it is covered in things much softer than before, much more dangerous than before. as humans we stand witness to this quick blight on the earth, having the gall to act in terror, to dig up the earth to protect ourselves when the earth knows that we are the blight. we melted the snow and we turned our world to ash. feeble attempts to unearth a solution will do nothing but fail. imagine the tiniest drop of water, slinking its way down the remains of a charred tree - a droplet of hope, a song of summers to come. the promise of a green leaf from the sight of the antidote to thirst. young droplets of water will refresh this earth doomed to death. we will refresh this horrible state of humanity. a droplet of sun like a droplet of water, a gleaming green promise. a synergistic claim to growth. a young fantasy that may reap no true prize except for love.
