Y'all are getting a snack from me soon but real quick, shout out to my brother-in-law for being my Joel height reference and not asking me why I'm messaging him at 10:30 on a Sunday night asking where kitchen counters reach in relation to his body.
first: thank u for sharing about harry styles im always so thankful when other people share about their journey because it makes me feel less alone in the world!
second. i was like in the exact same position a few years ago (i was 19 in a partial hospitalization program so like… it was my first time being with ‘real’ adults as an equal) and i would listen to a podcast before/after the program & during the lunch break because it kinda became a comfort thing (like having two best friends who don’t know i exist lmao). so people asked me what i listened to. and that’s how i got a bunch of people in my group therapy session hooked on a true crime podcast called “my favorite murder”. it made my individual therapy sessions a bit awkward. (it’s a v wholesome podcast considering the content!)
omg first of all my favorite murder was one of the first podcasts i listened to ever tbh but also like every october/halloween i break it out again to listen to it so absolute immaculate taste right there
but very much it's really about that intersection between the quality of the thing you like versus the amount that the person you're showing it to respects and loves you as a fan of that thing and how your feelings color their own interaction with that thing. my roommate found my very first star wars fanfiction and she liked it and left a comment and she'd never thought of that pairing before, or at least not enough to write a melodramatic 5k fanfiction before, but it was me and she liked me and that made a difference and also her excitement for what i wrote made a difference in how fast i wrote later.
and in 2017 one of the people in that program with me was this girl who went to ballet school in new york but dropped out because the teacher was really hard and awful and she had to focus on herself, but she performed in front of us during lunch breaks when she hadn't performed in front of people for like five years because of the fact that that school sucked all the fun of it from her but anyway encouragement, enthusiasm, and eagerness can really. can really make that difference tbh
Eliott told Lucas, it was stupid of him to lie. Lucas knows him by HEART. We keep winning, fam
the look on my 3yo nanny charges face when i told her taylor can't come to her birthday party 😭😭 she doesn't understand and just goes "but she is my friend and i love her and want her to be there so if i give her an invitation she will know she can come" 😭😭
