man, it genuinely is shocking how dead the like, general anime fandom is
like sure, certain shows are pretty alive and thriving (bnha and spy x family for certain) but then you look at any other fandom, especially those that aren't currently airing (tho lbr, if they're not Super Mega Popular they're still borderline dead) and it's like. crickets
like i remember back in the day when a new season would hit, i could find SO MANY posts talking about the currently airing shows, talking about which ones was good, or worth a look, and now it's so dead. like guys where'd you all go 😭
(also as someone who just got into kny, it's so weirdly hard to find any kind of gif content? it's all xreaders and that's never been my thing, so it's like. the kny fandom: me myself and my singular shoelace. and kny is POPULAR! it's so baffling)
anyway to all that: thanks for still posting. you are literally the single light in the dark. bless 🙏
(and thank you for posting stuff other than the currently popular stuff. like thank you SOOOOO much i need something other than the two popular shows rn. it's killing me. spy x family is killing me)
I was wondering if you were talking about Tumblr specifically, but it feels like you mean in general, and that's so true. Other than monumentally popular titles, everything else is dead, even though other shows and written works are doing well too in terms of audience. These are strange times for the internet. It feels like people refuse to engage unless they're accompanied by other hundreds of thousands.
Thanks, Anon. It's been hard to keep posting regularly because I'm aiming for a Really Renowned TM university in Tokyo for my master's degree, but I try my best to keep the queue running because I don't want this site to be reduced to dust. It's literally the Only Good Place in the whole fucking internet.
(Oh, that's because I never leave a fandom once I get into it. You can get the show out of the charts but you can't get it out of me, and you bet that I will keep posting about that shit. Again, thanks. People like you are also a light in the dark for me!)
