This was a project that consisted of assorted scraps. I had a small dragon that wasn't working in its original project, so I cut it out. I had a bunch of 1-inch edges of bristol board that I'd watercolored, so I added grassy effects and layered them. I had a small chunk of illustration board that had a Completely Different Painting, which I covered with an approximation of mountains. Then, just add shiny bits. Voila! This one is called Meadow Dragon, and it's from 2014.
I used the Blick Studio colored pencils on the dragon. These hard-lead pencils are surprisingly comparable to Caran d'Ache, but cost a quarter of the price.
