2. Is Rook dominant, submissive or a switch?

Gigi is definitely dominant. It makes her feel a little more secure to have control of a situation, so she prefers calling the shots and taking the lead. BUT. With Sihu? She feels secure enough to not always need that control and instead let herself give in to the buried need of giving that control up. Submission is difficult for Gigi, but Sihu is a safe harbor for her to let the reins go and let him take charge sometimes. As a treat.

7. Does Rook have any kinks? Do they act on it or just think about it?

She has so many, lol. SO many. And she absolutely acts on them. She'll happily tell Sihu what she's into and, if he's into it too, she will encourage him endlessly and indulge in those kinks for both of them to enjoy. I think her breeding kink would be the biggest one that they'd indulge in...

10. What is Rook's favorite part of their partner’s body?

His hands. His lower belly, under his navel. His chest. Can she just say all of him??? Because all of him!!! But if she had to narrow it down, those two might be her favorite. His hands work all kinds of magic on her, and his belly is her favorite place to grind, heehee.

For herself? Not really. Pain isn't something she can bring herself to enjoy, honestly, though she can tolerate it a little But for Sihu? She knows that he likes pain and that it feels good to him. And what she's into is doing things that make Sihu feel good. She can absolutely deliver on his pleasure, and will do so happily.

20. Have they ever had a threesome? If not, would they? With whom?

YOU KNOW IT. Viago. Possibly only Viago? But definitely Viago. Viago gets invited to join them, or just sort of gets pulled into their shenanigans by sheer proximity (he has work to do, but they're literally on his desk). It happens often. They're not really ALL together, but they kind of are, because Viago is just so important to both of them. Therefore, it will continue to happen, undefined and rarely planned.

24. Are they loud or quiet together?

I think these two are only quiet if they have to be. Otherwise, they'd be a damn noisy couple. They're both just very appreciative of each other!! Gigi just likes making sure Sihu knows exactly how much she's enjoying his attention!

Rookanis Week Ask Game.

13. Does Rook like to sleep in or do they keep a strict routine?

Deanna would have a very strict routine because of her Crow training. It was difficult for her to figure out a routine in the Lighthouse since there's no obvious day/night time but she usually likes to be awake early.

But after moving in with Lucanis, she finds that she does actually like to sleep in and stay with him as long as she can before they eventually have to get up and get on with their day.

26. Do they ever make it official? If so, who brings it up first?

They don't ever really acknowledge that they are in a relationship, it's just obvious to them that they are, but Lucanis is the one who proposes to Deanna which is the moment when it does become properly official! Everyone around them already figures that the two of them are in a relationship together before Lucanis and Deanna are even aware of it tbh.

When Rook is in the Fade Prison, Lucanis confesses to Neve and Davrin that he never got the chance to kiss Deanna or to even tell her that he loved her and they are both shocked because the whole team thought they were 'doing it' together all this time.

So, @blightedcrow and I have a little OC ship, so this is Julien Mercar and Dawn Ingellvar. I'm still getting a feel for Dawn (so it might be a bit ooc) but I loved writing it!

Julien carefully inked his blueprints, fighting to keep his hand steady despite his fatigue. With the Darkspawn and Venatori in the tunnels, Ashur had mentioned that they could use some more passages, more redundancies in case one became blocked. So, here he was - burning the midnight oil to plot them out, so Tarquin could get the blueprints back before anyone noticed they were missing.

Still, he noted with a smile as listened to the sound of a metal-nibbed quill scratching on parchment, it wasn’t all bad. On nights like this, he and Dawn gathered up their work and took it to big dining table, working together until one of them called it a night. Considering how little time they got to spend together, he was grateful for it. Tonight, they sat on either sides of a corner, close enough that their knees occasionally brushed. Julien pretended it was an accident every time, but it hardly ever was.

The scratching stopped, and Julien immediately glanced up to see Dawn flexing and rolling his wrist. He frowned. It was the third time in an hour. 

“Sore?”

“Hm?” Dawn looked up with that stupid little expression he got whenever his focus was interrupted, and he tried to re-calibrate himself back to the rest of the world. “Oh, yes. A bit of a cramp, I’m afraid. Nothing to worry about.”

Julien scooted his chair a bit, and gestured for Dawn to give him his hand. At Dawn’s curious expression, sighed and gestured again, giving him just a bit of a grin. “C’mere, darlin. You’ve worked enough tonight, you can take a break.”

“I should be saying that to you,” Dawn grumbled under his breath, but he gave his hands over anyway, just watching as Julie laid it palm-up in his own hand. Julien began working his thumb into the palm, working gently into the meat of it. Dawn let out a soft sound, his fingers immediately relaxing for just a moment. It was short lived, though, as he blushed and tried to pull his hand back.

“You don’t need to-“

“I want to.”“You do enough-“

“I want to. Dawn. Do you like it?”

A pause, then a small sigh of surrender. “Yes.”

“Then let me. I like it.” He started to work on the top of his palm, digging gently into the spaces between his knuckles. “Feels good to do something nice for you.”

Julien’s calluses dragged against Dawn’s skin, and he wished he had some lotion or something to make it smoother. Maybe, if Dawn let him do this again, he could use whatever he used to keep his hands so soft. Still, it seemed to be working; Dawn slowly relaxed more and more into his seat, he eyes sagging until they finally closed. The feeling of triumph warmed him as he switched and began on the other hand; it felt good to get the Watcher to just relax.

Once he finally finished, he held them both, just running his thumb across the back of his hand. “Better?”

“Much, thank you,” Dawn said, looking up at him through those long lashes, with that soft, sweet smile. Shit. Julien didn’t know if Dawn knew what that did to him, the way it made his heart skip a beat, how he felt like he would do just about anything, fight just about anyone, if it meant he could see it again.

He wanted to tell him but…nah. Not yet, anyway. Too fast, too early. Too close to an admission he wasn’t quite ready to make, and that Dawn wasn't ready to hear.

Instead, he pulled Dawn’s hand up to his face, and allowed himself a small sigh as he turned in against it. His stubble, grown out from the day, rasped against the smooth skin. He pressed a soft kiss into the center, then another, longer, into the meat of his thumb, letting it linger even after he opened his eyes. He caught Dawn’s, holding his gaze for a long moment until Dawn, shy, broke it and looked away.

“Thank you,” Julien said as he let Dawn have his hands back. He rolled his neck and shoulders, pretending not to notice as Dawn ran a finger over the spot where his lips had been. “Alright, back to work.”

(note: Julien’s an elf, but can grow facial hair. I know this isn’t canon, but I’m doing it anyway.)

26. Do they ever make it official? If so, who brings it up first?

To be honest, they never really get a chance to define what they are before it's already sort of assumed by the people around them. This does come back to bite them in the ass when marriage is part of the negotiations for Rook to transfer houses and is part of the reason those plans fall apart. By the time they start over, they're kind of forced to have that conversation in order to move forward, so it's pretty mutual.

something ridiculous for the hc game, val eagerly states silly phrases like "what i wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall" to shapeshift into a fly before making her way off to eavesdrop on a mission, among many other similar phrases, and it upsets viago every time

Wait i never thought of this but this is totally something she would do omg. THIS HEADCANON IS NOW CANON. Val will never miss an opportunity to annoy Viago.

She can and HAS transformed into a fly to spy on a target for a mission.

She ALSO has learned to transform into the same kind of snake as the ones Viago keeps, and an adder like Emil. He hates it when he has to play the Which Snake Is My Idiot Underling game.
