"and what do you think you're doing?" she stood in the middle of their small bedroom, arms outstretched as he stands in the doorway with his back against the frame. what, you don't like it? with her arms still raised, she spins herself around so that he can see the entirety of her outfit -- which is nothing more than one of his shirts, comically large as it swallows her small frame. "i never said that." it only takes two large steps to close the distance between them, his hands coming to rest on her waist once she turns back around to face him.you didn't say that you did. she pouts, bottom lip jutted out in such an exaggerated manner that alistair can't help the laughter that bubbles up in the back of his throat. "by the maker, you're right. i haven't sung your praise today." he watches the muscles in her jaw work -- a sign that she's about to speak -- and he dips his head down to capture her lips into a kiss before she has the chance. for a moment norah hesitates and alistair fears that he's truly upset her, but within seconds she's smiling into the kiss and the tension immediately leaves him.alistair pulls back so that their noses bump, hands moving from norah's hips to seek out her hands. "the sun can't compare to you," a soft kiss pressed to her lips. "you're the funniest woman i know." this time a kiss is pressed to the tip of her nose, fingers lacing with her's as he begins to move them about the small bedroom in a slow, swaying dance. "without you i would be hopelessly lost." she's laughing, the sound music to his ears as he rests his chin on the top of her head."i love you more than words can describe." it is then that norah finally pulls back from him, her expression a mixture of amusement and adoration as she gazes up at him. you are absolutely ridiculous. alistair can't help the goofy grin that works across his face as he unlaces his fingers from her's and taps the tip of her nose. "you wouldn't have me any other way."
