This fic deals with Sherlock's developing feelings beautifully. There are some wonderfully sweet moments between John and Sherlock alongside everything else that's happening and it is very much about learning love and what effects that has on the parties involved. One of my favourite fanfics.

Sherlock's fingers were drumming on the hospital bed. He had bandages wrapped around his head, covering his eyes so that he couldn't see. (Not like that would make any difference). There were burn marks on his hands.
It had been a simple mistake, really. A result of a combination of sudden clumsiness and carelessness.. He'd been at the lab, working on an experiment. Of course, he had to go and spill the bloody chemicals. So now he was stuck in a hospital, extremely, painfully bored. He always did hate hospitals, they felt more like prisons.
